Good buy.
I'm happy I bought this product through Amazon, for was much cheaper than buying items separately and a lot cheaper than my local auto parts store, save around $50 bucks.I have a 97 ram truck that I just had repainted and I needed the Mothers P.P. Kit for my chrome wheels, bumpers and black trim that were oxidize and neglected for some time. Now I've not use the big red or yellow balls yet for those will be used for buffing and waxing and since the paint is new it will be light duty for them. The cone was the one I used to do all the buffing and small red ball for polishing and they did a remarkable job. However, after around 30 hours of use the cone did get 60% destroyed from the wheels due to the semi sharp crevices and my aggressive buffing action, the small red ball held up well with about 20% damage.Even though I need a new cone I'm extremely happy with the results and the metal polish put a fantastic shine on my chrome bumpers and wheels.

Good But not great
I liked these but they don't get it as shiny as going to a pro. I did as good as I could with these on a set of rims but still didn't think they were shiny enough so I took them to a pro. In an hour and $50.00 later they were mirror finished. So for everyday good looking these are ok but if you want them really shiny you have to get them polished.Hint, Before you start sand them completely with 600 grit or higher sandpaper. I used a DA and 600 and then went over it with 1000 wet sanding by hand. That makes it much easier. If you have Scuffs or rash sand those areas with 220 grit and then the 600Just like painting you have to get the metal ready to polish.

Didn't work out for me
I worked as a detailer during my college years so I've had a lot of experience with different products and tools, however I would not consider myself a professional detailer. Just a very very picky car owner that keeps my vehicles as close to new as possible. I have really enjoyed the Mothers product line over the years but recently several of their products have been disappointing. This kit contains a wheel polish that should be used only on metals that create a "black residue" during application. I tried the polish on a Cayenne alloy wheel and a Camry alloy wheel and there was no sign of a black residue. So according to the directions it should not be used; what's up with that? Most nice cars have alloys so I don't understand what's going on with the metal polish. The foam balls are cheaply made and despite my best efforts they can sling a lot of polish or cleaner onto your work area and that is just not my style. If the kit cost $25 bucks I would consider recommending it, but considering the marginal quality and performance I cannot recommend it at this price.

Only a bit more convinient than hand polishing.
After waxing and polishing my four door sedan with my hands I quickly learned how physically tiring this is. Therefore I was excited to purchase this tool since I have a 18V hitachi drill that is powerful and barely used. I still waxed with a sponge pad with my hand but started polishing by attaching the round ball to my drill. It is a bit more convenient to hold my drill and move around the car since I am not moving my entire arm in a circular motion. However your wrist can still get tired from holding the drill against the spinning motion. (Since the ball is spinning pretty fast, you have to put pressure against the opposite spinning direction to stablize the attached ball)Plus, even the ball is a decent size, since you cannot use the entire surface you are practically only using about an 1 1/2 inch or 2 inches at the most which does not cover a whole lot of surface on your car.So far I have used it only once but perhaps I will get used to it. I will update my review if I feel I should rate this product differently.

This kit has it all!
I really like this kit. It seems to do a lot of work with a minimal amount of effort. I think that this kit has just about everything and costs a lot less than buying all of the items individually. I haven't used the metal polish or polishing cone yet, but there is no reason for me to believe that it won't work just fine. I have used the power balls several times and when I'm done I just put them in the washing machine with a light amount of detergent and they come out nice and clean. I would NOT put them in the dryer.

Works and works well
The material is durable and works better than other polishing materials I have tryed. I don't see much of a difference between the different tools other than shape and size. It does work as described and thats what matters.

OK but...
The polishing kit is OK and does make the job a little easier but the fact is that it still takes a lot of muscle to polish the car.

Expensive but works
Used Carefully on an Aston Martin That had been wet-sanded - poor clearcoat job.......these tools and products made the job easier, although I still resorted to 3M Finishing paste to get a good cut over 1500 frit....this product says it works - I am sure it does , but with a 2 HP power polisher it should be more effective.......got a nice shine now though!
