Restaurant quality and lots of fun!
We originally purchased this for a Kentucky derby party to make authentic mint juleps. We love it so much and often make snowcones for the kids and have fun making adult snowcones for the grown ups! We got this idea while at a wedding in Puerto Rico as it was a featured “drink” at the welcome reception. A man shaved the ice for each drink and this product does just like the mixologist at the wedding! It’s sturdy and extremely good restaurant quality metal.

Easy and Fast
Came fast and works well. The only problem is that it is a little messy.

REAL snow !
I’ve tried/used so MANY ice Shavers. “SnowCone” makers. This is the closest to “snow” I can get. It has 3 blades and so EZ to use. The shaved ice is fine. No big pieces left to crunch on. Just fine ice…as fine as the Hawaiian “shave” ice.It looks industrial. Yes it’s heavy and bulky looking…..almost like a butcher’s meat grinder…LOL. Doesn’t bother me at all as it is very sturdy.. does not move while using. You just have to keep rotating catching pan.I do wish they gave enough clearance to catch the “snow”. The pan it came with is kinda shallow.Got it in cyber Monday so very worth it!!!

Great little ice grinder
The kids got into snow cones this summer and it was getting expensive. I purchased this little machine and they loved it. They make snow cones everyday. It’s nice and economical. Would definitely recommend

NO WAY TO CLEAN or SANITIZE!
I was excited to find one of these that doesn't shave plastic into the ice.. at a reasonable price...HOWEVER...Am I supposed to just trust that this thing arrived SANITARY from the factory? When I opened the box, it smelled so bad I nearly threw up!It appears the entire machine has to be disassembled just to get the blade out to clean and sanitize it (Clean and Sanitary are two different things... look it up!).How do I get the machine oil off this thing so that the first 50 snow cones don't taste like oil?How am I supposed to sanitize it before each use?The water drain is lined up with the rim of the ice bowl so you can expect a huge puddle of water on the counter while using this... see picComes with an allen wrench that doesn't fit anything... see picAlso, this is advertised for commercial use but is NOT NSF Certified so using this in a retail establishment is opening the door to hefty fines from the health department.Someone commented... "I don't clean it because it's only used for ice"... Clean and Sanitary are two different things! Water has bacteria... Look up "Ice Mold"! There is no way this was sanitized at the factory... you can get sick from bacteria in drinks as well as food! This is going back! The answers to my questions about cleaning and sanitizing are ridiculous and invalid! Water does not clean or sanitize! Alcohol causes a very bad reaction with aluminum. This does not come apart for proper cleaning and sanitizing. As per DHEC, this is required! This is advertised for use in bars and restaurants but in NOT NSF CERTIFIED so it is illegal to use this in a commercial establishment! The entire shute/blade assembly has to be submerged in SANITIZER for at least 30 seconds. Water at a minimum of 170 degrees can also be used but again, requires submersion. Since this cannot be done without submerging the electronics, it is not safe. Water contains bacteria which is why sanitizer is used on equipment. Spraying the front of the blade does not ensure the back side is covered. Mold grows from just water... Without being able to even SEE the back side of the blade, there is no way to ensure there is no mold growing. Even ice machines grow mold in them so educate yourself before you post nonsensical answers! Look up pink mold in ice machine. Look up alcohol reaction with aluminum. Look up NSF certified. Look up sanitize vs clean. Stop advertising things without due diligence. This item is illegal to use in a bar/restaurant... Because it is not NSF certified. The reason it can't be certified is because it won't come apart to be PROPERLY cleaned and sanitized! Water and a towel does not clean!!!!!!!! Stop answering questions you have no knowledge of! Who is using this straight out of the box and consuming machine oil? Who is blindly using this without knowing these things? Just because you can't see the back side of the blade does not mean there is no mold there!

Please read the description carefully. It does state about metal shavings.
The media could not be loaded. I love this snowcone cone maker. I hate that the information about the metal shavings are not mentioned at the beginning. That is vital information. I wish the bowl was bigger to hold more ice. Other than that it is a great machine.******* UPDATE AS OF 8-26-24THE MACHINE HAS BAD METAL.SHAVINGS IN IT. I MEAN BAD BAD BAD! I MADE A CUP OF ICE, PUT IT ON MY COUNTER TO THAW OUT AND ID BE DARN IF IT DIDN'T HAVE METAL SHAVINGS IN THE ICE! I CANT BELIEVE THIS.!

Great snowcone maker!
Purchased for my adult son, as he loves snowcones that are fluffy shavings of ice and not the hard pebble ice. This machine does the job!! Very easy to use and extremely easy to clean! Heavy duty as well, so will hopefully last a long time!
