Disney Apt 40 Convertible Car Seat, Kriss Kross Minnie

When we purchased this, it was because my niece loved minnie. Unfortunately, we got to see 1st hand how safe the car seat was. Fortunately, it did its job. We were hit head on by an individual who was high on pills and heroin. The seat was strapped with the seat belt, and tethered to the back of the back seat and she had her 5 point harness on. She received a small bruise on her shoulder area from the hit, but that was from the straps. Im only posting the graphic pics so that you can understand the seriousness of the accident. I am happy that we made the purchase we did when it was bought.

Initially I bought this seat due to the fact it was affordable but mainly because it had great reviews already and some customers had been in collisions and were kind enough to share how safe their babies were in this seat. Upon taking it out of the box I found myself reasoning with my toddler as she had assumed this was a new chair for the living room. After I finally succeeded in moving it to the car I was immediately impressed. This seat, unlike my other name brand seat allowed my daughter plenty of leg room to remain rear facing for much longer. The straps are sturdy and the chair doesn't feel flimsy at all. I was concerned there wasn't enough padding to keep my babe comfortable but to my surprise she still falls asleep and never complains about being uncomfortable at all. All in all feel like this is a great choice if you're in the market for a new seat.

I loved the seat but my son in law was in a accident and this did not hold up it was in pieces that's not what I want my granddaughter to be in

I always check reviews on absolutely everything before making any purchase. I was super surprised anyone at all rated this 5 stars outside of the fact it looks cute. It is so totally unsafe. My husband is a fire fighter and installed this for us properly and it still tips over every time we turn a corner. It is really a cheap, and unsafe seat. The belts loosen on their own and the strap in the back just goes on and on to nowhere. Would not recommend.

I am writing a review because we bought this car seat in 2016 for our daughter. She is currently 30 lbs, 36 inches. She is still well within the limits for using this car seat at almost 4 years old. However, with the straps extended out as far as they go we are having a very hard time buckling her in. We are in Cali so it is not even an issue with wearing thick clothing or coats. If you decide to purchase this car seat please note that your child may not be able to use it to its weight and height requirements. We are bummed to have to purchase another car seat before this one expires. If you dont mind that aspect, I will say that this carseat washes super easy and after nearly 3 years still has retained its color without fading (I included a pic so you could see the color). I would ONLY recommend this seat if you plan to purchase a new one for your child around the age of 3. PS our friends had the mickey mouse one for boys and ran into the same issue, so they too bought a new one for their son.

It’s a nice seat. However, it’s not for everyone. This car seat is different in the sense that it is not designed to fit the height and weight requirements that it claims there is no way. My daughter is only 25.5 inches tall and her head is basically to the top of the car seat shell already. Weight wise she is 18 pounds and is 14 months old and doesn’t sit comfortably in it at all as she is all slumpy looking in the seat. Don’t let the cute mickey/Minnie design fool you and get your moneys worth and go with a better car seat, as there is not a lot of cushioning for accident protection either.

I purchased this car seat for my 12 month old daughter who was rapidly growing out of her travel system car seat. One of the biggest bonuses to this seat was the double cup holders that are built in. There is a place for the parent to put the bottle to be easily accessed by baby when they get thirsty. You can also use the other for a snack cup, which...let's face it...all toddlers need snacks at their disposal. Another highlight of the car seat was its femininity. I love the bright pink, and the fact that the bowed Minnie Mouse ears are visible when I put my daughter in the seat. I can also appreciate knowing that she has extra room in the car seat and that it will work both as a rear-facing seat, and transition nicely once she is faced forward. Extremely happy with my purchase. :)
