The Best JRPG of This Generation, Sadly Enough
You've gotta give the folks at Compile Heart and Idea Factory credit- each installment in this series is a massive improvement over the previous one. The first was hot garbage, the second was mediocre, and this one is actually fairly decent. Considering how lackluster games in this genre have been for this entire console generation, that faint glimmer of quality makes this a must-own for fans of the genre by default. It pains me a bit to say that, as any gameplay trailer will likely put off the vast majority of potential consumers. Being utterly steeped in anime's current obsession with moe oversaturation and scantily clad teenage girls, Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory goes the extra mile by including annoying one-dimensional characters, a barely-serviceably plot that suffers mood swings, cutscenes that drag on forever, and a cavalcade of comedy that isn't funny. Everything about the presentation of this game is likely to be tolerated, not enjoyed, by the vast majority of people. If at all.Make it past that, however, and gamers will find themselves with a deep and immensely satisfying RPG experience. Combat is fun and strategic, focusing on stringing together custom-made combos for maximum efficiency. Players will have to make the choice between equipping a few powerful attacks, or spreading out their points on a wider range of weaker abilities with different effects. That the developers added a lot more variety to enemy behavior compared to the previous games, helps emphasize the strengths of this system. Repeated combat will also raise a special gauge over time that persists throughout the dungeon. Filling that gauge will allow the player to execute powerful finishing moves at the end of a combo, but the player can also empty the gauge to perform ultra-powerful attacks. Doing so will leave you unable to use finishing moves until refilling the gauge, which can take multiple battles to accomplish. This helps add an even greater level of strategy to the game.A new system for altering previously-visited dungeons has also been added. The player employs NPCs called Scouts to chart areas with the chance to increase experience points and money dropped from enemies, change the treasures, and spawn powerful monsters. This helps alleviate a lot of the backtracking and grinding associated with the genre. Though this tends to lead to situations where the player would need omniscience and the luck of the devil to accomplish a good chunk of the optional side-quests in the game, as many of them require Scouts to open up hidden dungeons or spawn enemies without any hints on what you're looking for. They have to make that strategy guide money somehow, I suppose. All in all, whether or not you enjoy Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory will mostly depend on whether or not you can get past the presentation. Those that can will be met with a surprisingly rewarding RPG experience, and those that can't will probably make up their minds upon looking at the box art.

Hardest and my 2nd favorite of the 1st 3.
The newest character,Plutia is my favorite. She's so naughty and dark,a complete contrast to her normal form like Neptune is. Neptune is more focused and a paragon in her goddess form while Plutia is the opposite. It's so fun to play and I'm glad you can be in goddess form without worrying about losing it by taking actions like the previous title. That's a stupid mechanic. Neptune is as simple minded as always and her younger sister is the "big sister" lol. Neptune wonders why she's at a lower level than younger sis!! Be warned: This is more of a challenge early on than the previous games.

Pretty fun game, but...
My fourth Hyperdimension Neptunia game after platinuming Megadimension Neptunia VIIR and the first two games on PS3, this game operates the same way as Megadimension with a few easy to get endings. The post-game takes the longest out of the PS3 versions since getting platinum requires maxing out Lily Ranks with everybody. Scouts are a new feature in the franchise and you'll be using them an awful lot.I don't say this enough about the characters but I LOATHE Plutia as a character. Too sadistic both in her human form and especially her CPU form. Still a fun game though and I recommend fans and newcomers alike to pick it up even though it can be quite hard in the beginning.

Great Game for Anime lovers
Bought this anime game for my stepbrother and he absolutely loved it. It has a great story line and has great graphics quality on the PS3! Anyone who is really into anime and enjoys a long plot should get this game, although be advised that is it not the best game if your kids are under 13. The shipping on the game was really quick and it came in a neat package but be aware that sometimes it does end up in your mail box. If you want the game quickly then ship using prime and you will be very satisfied. Definitely a game that you can play repetitively.

Best Neptunia so far.
Personally I thought MKII had good gameplay but not as good storyline as the first game. The first game had a fun story but not so good gameplay. I thought Victory had the best of both worlds. I also laughed the most.Game takes place after MKII and unlike the last game I would say play MKII before this one. The only issue is that due to a very large cast of characters and limited funds the budget ran short on voice acting so this game seems to have the least voice acting of the series... Regardless, the game breaks the fourth wall all the time, doesn't take itself seriously, and I liked it.

pretty awesome
I'm not really the type of guy who does the whole pro and con so my comment will be pretty simple to understand.Victory so far from what I've played is pretty freaking awesome the skills will make you go OMG and the story is still as funny as it was in mk2 lol @ Plutie why she always wanna take naps? xD If you love mk2 I don't see why you wouldn't love this game.If you have never played any neptunia games or just so happen to see Victory in the stores then get it these games will eventually will hard as heck to find until reprinted copies are released.

Review
The story line is really funny and cute, I do like the combat system it just gets a little repetitive after a while. The game is really colorful and pretty to look at even if the graphics aren't anything awesome. Overall I think this game is for a specific group of people who would actually like it, I would suggest to go look at reviews on YouTube if you aren't sure to get a better feel of the gameplay.

gr8 game for fans
Have enjoyed this game a lot. Although I still think the remake is better, this game was worth the time and the money. The best one out of the ps3 trilogy.
