Great, but breaks...
Although it works great for a while (responsive, support simultaneous opposite inputs), these things only last about 6 months. I've bought 2 of them and they both had this problem.

IT WORKS!!!!
I have been looking for a converter for the dance pad for 2 years. I originally had one that would not work and I could not get it to work. Then I heard that they were coming out with a DDR for the PS3 and assumed that the dance pad would work with the older PS2 games if you had a backwards compatible PS3. Sadly I was wrong. Then I decided to give this converter a try before I just decided to trade in my DDR game. It worked. I just got done playing and the converter works perfectly. There does not seem to be any lag and doing two arrows at the same time does work. I've read reviews for this product that says that it doesn't work so maybe it is the system, pad and game I'm using it with. Just in case I'm using the 80 gig PS3 with 4 USB ports. I was playing DDR supernova 2 with the dance pad that came with the bundle. I just wanted to let anyone know that from what I can tell the product works and works well.

Good customer service, defective product
I have the 80gb PS3 with the 4 USB ports and was excited when I saw that this item's description claimed it was compatible with my specific system. The Menu button (really a PS button) was stuck and kept opening and closing the PS menu repeatedly. I sent in a complaint, which resulted in an apologetic response and a replacement adapter which arrived in less than a week. Plugged it in to my PS3 after attaching it to my favorite PS2 pad, only to find the same error. Another complaint, and another prompt sincere apology, this time accompanied with a pre-paid mailing label to return the two converters as well as the promise of a full refund.I recommend the seller for their wonderful customer service. I do not recommend this product if you are in the same boat as myself, in terms of specific system in possession.

Works great until it doesn't.
I've had two of these go out on me now. They work perfectly for a while. My second set lasted longer, but unfortunately it lasted just long enough to be outside of the warranty.I'm not sure if it's faulty wiring or soldering or what but it seems like they must overheat and just burn out after a while. Nothing lasts for ever, but I would like it to last longer than 6 months, ya know?

Best converter for DDR pads Decent product, better Customer serviceEdIT
Should be fairly obvious, but THIS is the converter you should buy for DDR pads. It has a button on it that you use for accessing the PS3 menu and so far its a nice converter. It is more expensive than the others, but it's really the only one that works.[EDIT] After a few months with moderate use, the product suddenly stopped working, I emailed the seller and the shipped out another one. It's still a good product, I'm just unsure of how long the life is on these products or if mine is a once in a few hundred case, but Its still the best converter I've found yet

Works, but poorly crafted and a bit pricey
I bought this product a few months ago. Compared to other PS2/PS3 adapters I've bought, this one actually works with my 40GB PS3 and my PS2 dance pad. I tried using it again and it did not light up (the lights blink like when a regular controller when it's is on). Opened it up and found some of the wires were not properly soldered in right. Two of the wires snapped off their points when I checked their connections, barely even had to pull on them. Some connections had a large amount of solder on them while other had barely any.I would buy another one, but the price is a bit much for me as well. Other sites have the same product for ~$20; I would rather use that money to buy a new dance pad if that's the case, but my ~8 year old dance pad still works.I'm glad I found a product that works, but the price is a bit steep for something that's fragile.

Works for PS2 dance pad to PC!
I got this because I wanted to connect my PS2 dance pad to my PC for Stepmania. With other converters lot of people have a problem with not being able to push two arrows at once, but l guarantee that this works perfectly! On top of that, it's $5 cheaper than a usb dance pad. Here are some details:- Running Windows 7- Tested/Works with the universal Gamestop dance pad (PS2/Gamecube/Xbox).- Tested/Works with the universal Pelican dance pad (PS2/Gamecube/Wii/Xbox).- The only thing I had to do was open the game, go into the options, and configure the keys. It took less than 2 minutes and works perfectly, double arrows and everything.

Does not adapt cobalt flux DDR pads to ps3 correctly.
This adapter won't correctly adapt the Cobalt Flux ddr pads to the PS3. The PS3 game recognizes it as a controller, not a dance pad.Why does this matter? The corner buttons get recognized as direction buttons and your accidental steps will cause missteps in the game.Maybe there is some information out there that I don't have, if so I'd love to hear about it.Total fail, waste of money.
