I needed to match the Grohe Starlight Chrome finish that I have on my smart shower control and this shower head fit the bill. It works well and (of course) the finish is a perfect match since it’s also Starlight Chrome by Grohe- nice!

You will like this Shower Head. I do! It is well made, solid and the functionality is precise. The individual flow of each mode was very direct. You do have the ability to “ blend “ between adjacent flow patterns and I found that helped with the “Jet” mode which personally I considered a little strong. However, that could be due to fact I removed the flow restriction. Overall I like the patterns of water flow and the amount of water it allows through the head...very nice. However, for installation and information I am providing the following as only a Warranty Statement Brochure is provided with the Grohe Shower Head. In the second and third pictures above you see all the components provided. What is missing is pipe tape for the pipe stud that comes out of your wall. You can buy enough to last a lifetime for around a $1.00. A minor point but one that is frustrating and by simply including a small amount would make the installation experience positive. Make sure you wrap several turns of tape around the threads. The other parts are used as follows..... The chrome collar should be slipped onto the pipe coming from the wall as it will cover the nut and any exposed pipe threads after installation. This is really nice. See the installed unit picture. The very small “O” ring inside the shower head is a Flow Restrictor. It is placed there as water conservation to cut the amount of water used. You can remove to increase the flow or leave in place. If you remove use a very pointed end pick to pull the “O” ring from inside. Take great care not to break the plastic or damage the rubber ring should you decide to reinstall. Now you can place the red washer inside and then the black filter strainer. At this point you are ready to install the shower head onto the pipe coming from the wall. The unit should screw easily onto the pipe and should not be forced. Enjoy! Overall.... I found the installation easy. The product itself feels substantial and the components move with fluidity. You will have to use two hands to move from mode to mode. To me that is not a big deal and I found it very helpful when “blending”. I am very happy with the results and even though it bugs me that the manufacturer at this price point does not include a small amount of plumbers pipe tape I don’t feel that is enough to deduct a star.
