MGA Novi Stars Doll - Alie Lectric

I love these dolls and hope they will get a reboot soon! Unfortunately, I've ordered this Alie Lectric twice and both had the bands that hold the doll in the display box melted and fused onto her legs. I am keeping the second one and will try to restore because they're so cute and difficult to find at this price ($39).

I was hesitant to buy this doll for my 11 yr old daughter because of the previous reviews I've read on the Novi Stars dolls but she wanted them so badly. I did let her know about the poor reviews so she was prepared for any mishaps that might happen. We were pleasantly surprised! All the limbs stayed intact and she stands in her base just fine. Very cute doll!

My daughter loved this too cute, colorful doll and was thrilled that she lit up at the push of a button. The doll is nice quality and has held up well through multiple play sessions. I love the look of this doll and her cute "pet" too. I would buy this again and plan to get more of the other dolls too

Alie Lectric is an adorable space alien girl! She's highly detailed, very cute, and a great doll for toy collectors or young teens. I'm an adult toy collector and she's a wonderful addition to my growing Novi Star collection. I personally wouldn't recommend these dolls for very young children as they have fragile and small parts. If you're having major problems then email the Novi Stars customer service to get replacement parts (you'll have to pay a shipping fee.) Alie has very fragile antennae on her head that could snap off if you're not careful. Her accessories include a teeny tiny silver bracelet, removeable shoes, an attached pink rose that's tied to her dress (not meant to be removed), a detachable backpack (contains the batteries and light), a glow-in-the-dark doll base, and an adorable sparkly outfit. She also comes with a cute little space pet named Hi-Def. Everything comes packaged in a gorgeous box with cute artwork. You'll need patience and persistance to carefully open and remove Alie from her box. There's a lot of tape, tabs, strings, and bands. I'd recommend opening the box slowly with a pair of scissors and nail clippers to get the tiny pieces. The handle of the box becomes a tiara. After she's out of the box you can press her heels into the base to make her stand up for display. Expose the base to a bright light for a minute and then turn out the lights to see the base glow.Pros:*Beautiful green alien skin with gold shimmer! Gorgeous sparkling pink eyes, sparkly eyelashes, cute makeup and lips. Her body is see through, green, and sparkly. She has the cutest pointy ears! Her hair is hotpink with a hotpink "hair bow" and bangs with black streaks. Her hair is rooted.*Hold the button on the backpack to see her legs light up! The colors change from yellow to alien green to red and then repeats as long as you hold the button down. Very cosmic fly!*Alie fits in her doll stand very well compared to the other dolls.*Her pet, Hi-Def, is adorable! She has a bow on her head, tiny wings on her back, a black tail, and a really cool pair of sunglasses that reminds me of a spacey television set. (Her pet does not have any moveable parts at all, it's all plastic.)*Novi Stars get young girls interested in space!Cons:*Really bad box hair! Her hair has loose ends, lots of fly-aways, and needs to be trimmed and fixed up.*Limited movement. Her lower half doesn't move at all so you can't make her sit or pose. Her head can move around and be tilted side to side. Her arms only move forward and back. Her arms (just like the other Novi Star dolls) are meant to be removed by gently pulling them away from the body. This is supposed to make it easier to dress them and they were made this way. Again, these dolls aren't made for little children because they might play too rough or lose the arms easily. I've heard countless compaints about the arms falling off and not being able to put them back in. I'm very gentle with my dolls and I haven't had any issues.*Takes watch batteries that might be hard to find. Also, the battery compartment is opened with a tiny screw so you'll need a small screwdriver.Overall Opinion: Alie is an adorable doll! She's great for display, photographs, and modifications. Toy collectors like myself will love the Novi Stars. It's obviously a toy so it's meant to be played with but only for really gentle play. She's fragile and has limited movement. She's not meant to be dragged all over the place, have her clothes changed every 5 minutes, or be played with roughly. As a toy collector I'm giving her a 4/5 due to the small issues. A parent of a young child would probably rate it much lower because it's so fragile. I'm really happy with Alie and I'd love to collect more Novi Stars!

This doll is absolutely adorable. They are tiny and not ball-jointed like other fashion dolls these days, but the detail and uniqueness is really great. I love her sparkly eyes and that he legs light up and change color. I'm super happy with this purchase.

I love her! I had zero issues with her arm s or her stand. Her hair was very frizzy though, and although I could have given her a hair treatment (I customize dolls), I went ahead and gave her a pixie cut instead, which looks adorable.

My daughter loves these dolls. They are the perfect size and they are out of this world. They are colorful and well made. The price was just right as well.

Przyszło dokładnie to, co widać na zdjęciach sprzedającego. Fajnie mieć lalkę której nie sprzedają od jakichś 9 lat i to za niską cenę. Alie ma piękną twarz, a szczególnie oczy i rzęsy. Stojak naprawdę świeci w ciemności. Po wciśnięciu guzika w plecaku lalki ona się świeci pomimo tego, że lalka została wyprodukowana dekadę temu. Minusem jest to, że ręce jej dość szybko odpadają ale to nic, bo można je łatwo wsadzić z powrotem, zresztą kupiłam ją dla ozdoby i kolekcjonowania, a nie dla zabawy.

I am happy with this doll. She stands well on a doll stand, her special feature works well, she has a cute outfit and nice golden shoes. I love that she has heart shaped pattern in her eyes, it adds a nice touch. Overall I am happy with the purchase
