PopSockets: Non-Swappable, Collapsible Grip & Stand for Phones and Tablets - Golden Silence

While I ordered this back in May, I was waiting to get a new phone (and as such a new phone case) until I used it. I was pretty disappointed that the design was not metallic like the pictures show and, therefore not as nice. However, I had read, in a few reviews, that was the case so I was expecting it and decided I could live with it. Unfortunately, the real issue is that it doesn't stick securely onto the back of my case. I had a bad feeling that I was going to have issues when I was removing the plastic from the sticky stuff. For one, the sticky stuff looked old and then secondly, when I trying to peel the plastic off, some of the sticky stuff actually started to come off. I did adjust the location of the item however even when I first put it on it didn't secure. Even just "popping" it made it come away from the phone. I would definitely not purchase again or I would purchase it directly from the manufactures website to ensure that I'm getting a legit product.

Ordered this and it had to be a knockoff. The popsocket never stayed on my phone case and would pop off nonstop. I finally contacted the company and proved that it didnt work and was able to get a replacement of my choosing. I put the replacement on about 3 or more months ago and it hasnt move a teeny tiny bit. so much better. be careful with ordering from here.

I love the design; it went so well with my gold phone which I had recently put in a clear case. The part that sticks to the phone was awesome. Unfortunately the part sticking to the PopSocket wasn’t strong enough. I thought since it was a name brand PopSocket it would work perfectly like my last one. But it only stuck about a week before it would start to separate from the adhesive. I put it back on several times but it would never hold more than a few hours at a time, and then at the end it only held for a few minutes. I finally peeled the adhesive off my phone and gave up. I still have it and hope to figure out a way to make it work. The PopSocket on my old phone case never came close to falling off. I don’t get it. Maybe it’s a humidity thing?

I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews on this not sticking, or not being real. The one I received was for sure real. A tip I’d like to give is, before application, make sure you clean the area with rubbing alcohol and wait till it dries, then you can stick it on. My pop socket hasn’t moved at all and I’m always holding it. I have nieces and nephews who love to tuck and pull and because of the clean site of application, the adhesive stuck on like a dream. I’m for ordering a new popsocket in the future. I don’t know how people don’t have one. It helps so much even with just having a good grip on my phone. Or when I want something to just fidget my hands with. It even makes a durable kickstand, I’ve had so many cases with kickstands and none we’re super durable in the long run, and this one is still working months later. My last pick socket lasted a long time as well, I only replaced it because I wanted a new one.

Got this product to help save my wrist with holding my tablet. It's simple to install and simple to use and has been a great help for relieving pressure from my wrist. The adhesive pad sticks well to the textured surface of my tablet and I've even transferred it between my phone and tablet a few times. The adhesive that sticks to your phone/tablet can be refreshed as described. The problem? The adhesive that holds the sticky pad to the popsocket failed in a very short time. This is a paper-thin, double-sided adhesive that sits between the sticky pad and the base of the popsocket. It started failing after a couple of weeks and now won't stay on at all. I can find no replacement for this, so now I own a useless piece of plastic.

I don't ask for much. Look cute. Stay popped open. And for God's sake don't have the decorative flat part keep popping off! I never had this issue with my old Pop Socket - but this one flips off the base so easily. There's only four little tabs that keep it attached to the extender part and I have to pop it open with extreme caution lest I flick the flat part off. Ugh! But it's cute. And it DOES do what it's supposed to. But it's annoying as hell - hence 3 stars.

First, upon opening the package, I discovered that popsockets doesn't bother including installation directions. Yes, yes, its seems eminently obvious that you just peel and stick, but I was interested in how easy it would be to reposition if I applied it in the wrong place. Anyway, the manufacturer sends you to youtube, because it can't be bothered to include instructions. So, I stick it on, roughly centered on the back of the phone case and found that when placed on its long side, the phone just toppled over. The "stand" collapses. Apparently, if you have an iphone 11 in a case, you would need to purchase TWO popsockets to create a strong stand . . . but I am not inclined to spend money on another without knowing if two would actually be sufficient. And the FAQ page can't be found from the popsocket user manual link and .... I could go on, but won't. Check out the competition. I will.

With my old phone, I had two different pop sockets (one on each case). Over the course of three years, I NEVER had an issue with the adhesive, and I never took it off to adjust the position.I just got a new phone, so I wanted to get a new pop socket for it. This adhesive keeps pulling away from the phone case and it hasn’t even been two full weeks yet. I’m getting a little worried because if I drop my phone because of it I’m not going to be happy.

It’s easy to put on and I’ve played around with where I want it to go a few times, and it hasn’t lost any stick.The design I chose, I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it enough to return it. It looks a bit cheap in person tbh. Although, the design isn’t just printed on, its slightly raised from the socket and shiny, it just LOOKs printed on from afar.Also, the area I’ve positioned it still allows me to charge wirelessly with a case on (photo included), use it as a stand and take good selfies and photos.My only con is that the socket twists. It would be nice if it didn’t, so I could hold the socket only and my phone would stay upright.Probably will get a different design at a later date if it performs as well as it is now.

This is a beautoful pop socket and does the job. The only downside I have is that it is not sticky enough so it kept coming of. I ended up super glueing it to my phone case (not my phone). This stopped the product falling off, although due to the price I do not think if should be my responsibility to ensure it is strong enough to stay put once stuck down. Regardless of that, I solved the issue and now the pop socket works well, looks gorgeous and does the job.

I wanted to love this, and do love the design but unfortunately the suction/ glue was insufficient and it keeps coming unstuck, after only a matter of days. Returning for a refund.

This popsocket does not stay on! I have used another brand before and had it for 10 months until my phone fell and it broke but this brand or this particular item is very poor, so dissatisfied and disappointed. I use the pops for health reasons. I wont be purchasing one of these brands again.

mine just came off my phone case after a good 2, nearly 3 years of use. My phone now feels naked and I feel like I might drop it any time. Need to buy a new one
