If you ever coveted your brother's action figure with real punching action, this toy's for you
First, let me just say I am biased: I've loved Wonder Woman since Linda Carter rocked the 70's bustier and am beyond thrilled there's an awesome movie and swag to go with it. Second, I have never been a girly-girl. While I confess to twirling around to magically transform before catching bad guys with my magic lasso, I had exactly no patience for Barbie and her Pepto Pink mansion. They were dolls, not actions figures, great if you wanted to do hair and change clothes but no good for battling bad guys in in the manner of my brother's G.I. Joe's and Star Wars peeps. On to the review. I bought two of the DC Comics Wonder Woman Fashion dolls: the Bow-Wielding and Shield Block models. I would give them both 4.5 stars if possible, but am rounding up to 5 because they're still very cool. Honestly, they're kind of a mash-up between a fashion doll and an action figure. I don't have any Barbies to compare to, but I'd guess they're about the same height, have the same soft fashion-doll face and style soft hair, but their bodies are hard plastic, partially jointed, and the only part of the clothing that looks removable are the boots. In addition, her proportions are more muscular than Barbie and more in keeping with Gadot's WW. On the action side, the knees, thighs, shoulders and elbows are jointed (with kind of obvious pins) and the head swivels from side to side. She comes complete with weapons which fit in her hands/snap onto her vambrace, but while they don't snap in as firmly as I like, it's probably easier for smaller fingers. The action motion on these is what really sets them apart. I always coveted my brother's action figures with the lever on the back that allowed them to punch or shoot projectiles. They were always gimmicky and never really looked super realistic, but as a kid, I always thought it was super-cool. And these dolls have pretty cool movement. Shield Block WW has a lever that raises her shield up to her face but also has a connecting mechanism to her left leg. So if you bend her right leg behind her (out of the way) and press down on her left leg, she automatically ducks her head and raises her shield as she lunges. (In reality, she usually hits herself in the face with the shield, but these things are never perfect and I'm just thrilled she's actually performing a semi-realistic action move.) The Bow-Wielding WW is equally cool in that it really shoots arrows (it comes with three) and has a pretty great mechanism that allows two fingers to hook through the arrow, a protrusion on the arrow to catch on the elastic bowstring, and a movement (achieved by pushing a button on the back) that pulls her arm, arrow and bowstring back before flinging her arm to the side and loosing the arrow. Way cooler than just a pressure spring, and well designed in ease of arrow insertion. Sticking her fingers in can be a little tricky, but she can also just be left posed with her arrow strung until you're ready to fire.My main quibble is the lack of better and more thorough joints and movement. There's no hinge in the waist and while the bottom part of both skirts are soft plastic, neither of them allow much thigh movement. The DC Superhero girls have truly excellent jointing that allow them to be posed in myriad ways - far more than the very limited positioning available on these models. I also would have liked a sword belt and arrow storage, or at least for the Bow-Wielding WW to have a fake leather wrap around bit that actually stayed put or made any sense at all. As it is, I left the clear elastic bands holding that bit together and provide spare arrow storage to boot. On the Shield Block WW, I left clear bands connecting the sword and shield to the hands, so I'm less likely to lose them. The first younger kid to come over will doubtless lose pieces, but my 14 year old left them in place while she tried them out.So 4.5 stars, rounding to 5. These are still very fun action/fashion dolls that I know my nieces and nephews will love. And my daughter pointed out a bonus feature for people who buy both: the bow wielder can shoot at the shield blocker from across the room. How much fun is that?

Perfection in action doll form!
Compared to the only slightly cheaper 'Battle Ready' figure ($1.50 difference at the time of this review), this is the far superior product.Wonder Woman's shield and sword are both not only functional, but removable and sturdy. Her tiara, arm band and boots also come off, and the dress is flexible rubberized plastic, allowing the doll to move easily. The blocking action is smooth and natural looking, even if both legs are together. If you don't want her to crouch, you can use the lever on the back of the doll (which her hair hides beautifully, btw)Additionally, the face seems to resemble the actress who played her in the movie more than the 'Battle Ready' figure. It could be my imagination, but I feel it's clearly a better paint job.All in all, I adore this figure. I'll just have to find myself some gold toned cord to add a 'lasso'.Now, it much be noted that I never took the 'Battle Ready' figure from her box. She's going back to Amazon because she was so unimpressive.Don't cheap out, get this one!

Good value
The doll looks good and has a fair quality for its price. Other customers should be aware that the shield arm does not get entirely straight, instead it seems to always be in a kind of shield holding position. The hair look nice too, but is a bit thin. The doll has a lever on the back that raises and lowers the shield arm. I liked this doll, as it matches description and pictures.

Quality at an affordable price
I like how good it looks as good as the Barbie version at a reasonable price.

Beautiful Wonder Woman
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful Wonder Woman doll. It's 12 inches tall and comes with a shield and a sword. Her face is very pretty and detailed. Has a skirt that is flexible and the corset is painted with the upper body but it has small details that makes it look nice. Grabs sword and shield precisely, they stay in their place. The only thing that bothers me a little is that you can't keep her standing because the doll can kneel to a defending position with her shield. I know it's a toy for kids and that's why I really don't care that much about this issue. And I bought it because it resembles a lot to the Barbie Wonder Woman but is less expensive.

DC Wonder Woman Shield Bloc Doll, 12" ...
This doll has SO MANY TINY hooks in the back, that even meticulous work removing them from the back with TINY scissors to display her broke the band connecting her shield to her arm.So the shield now does NOT work ( an attachment to her back could be used to raise and lower the shield, but since it broke INSTANTLY upon unpacking, and the shield is now not a part of the doll. BUMMER., but it is standing to her side. I suppose that some glue MIGHT fix it, but this should NOT happen upon a careful unpacking of any doll. Despite THAT very annoying FLAW, the doll looks great and is poseable, and the intrictately embossed sword fits (WITH CARE!!!!), into her hand, and her legs and arms are poseable, so on her stand, she does loo like she is taking a nice leap. She can NOT be posed kneeling on one nee, as pictured, so the doll has its flaws. But the face is true to the character played bu Gal Godot in the 2017 movie, the hair is passable, but a bit messy, and care MUST be taken lest her coronet also fall off! On her stand, she loos good enough, her sword upraised and her feminine but battle readiness an inspiration to women who might be feeling otherwise oppressed and dismissed in today's all still to masculine-controlled society. Have we learned NOTHING? This doll on display shows we might just be starting to show our power as women in a war-torn male-dominated world. The doll is better proportioned than this picture suggests and, despite her fallen shield, she is a great doll for young and old girls and women to have in their collection of inspiring figures. Too bad her shield became IMMEDIATELY useless, broken upon careful unpacing!!!!

Buen diseño.
Buen producto, no se le quita la ropa, lo que te da tranquilidad de que no se pierdan partes del vestuario. Trae palanca en la espalda para mover el escudo.

Wonderful
Love how there is a lever on the back of the doll so wonder woman is able to move her arms. The girl I bought this for was absolutely delighted with it and plays constantly with it.Definitely a great buy!!
