My five dogs loved this treat! I didn't notice an odor of any kind. I was worried it would get chewy and therefore, messy. It didn't make a mess at all! It lasts much longer than any traditional bone or chew stick that I've tried with my exuberant chewers. The company is very upfront that supervision is required and it is. When your dog chews it to the end, you'll be left with a tiny piece that is very sharp and hard and therefore dangerous, and that part made me a bit nervous since I'm supervising a herd of dogs rather than a single dog. Since that is more of a personal problem, I'm not taking anything away from the rating because of it. You can even reuse the small leftover bit and instructions are included on how to melt it down to do so. The product is pricey and that is unfortunate for me, but only because I have so many dogs. For a single dog owner, this would last you a while, making it well worth the price. In my personal case, it was a one use treat. I will probably buy again, but due to its price, will have to do so for a special occasion only. Great overall buy!

My little guy loves them

Great company with wonderful customer service! I would buy from them again, however this product is too expensive for my needs. The yak chews are very hard and brittle and are tooth breakers out of the package. I inquired with the company and they responded right away. Microwaving them for 20-40 seconds changes them into a wonderfully crunchy treat, but also accelerates the chewing process for my dog. I just can’t justify the cost of these.

Long lasting chews

These dog cheese treats are absolutely amazing. Previously, my dog's favorite treats were Greenies. But these Yak treats are a whole different ball game. My two big dogs are crazy about them. Of note is that the large ones (I've bought both the large and small ones) are very big, so from now on, I'm only going to buy the small ones. One of my big dogs can't even finish the large ones at one time.I do believe they help clean my dog's teeth which was the first reason why I bought them.

I have been buying the large Himalayan cheese dog chews for our Doberman for the better part of a year, and he loves them. I had been buying them from Chewy.com, but thought I would try buying some from Amazon, as he was on his last one and it wasn't time for our auto-ship order from Chewy. BIG MISTAKE! These were advertised as large, but as you can see from my pictures, they're about the size of a woman's index finger. Certainly not what I would consider large dog chews for a large dog! And they look strange, nothing like the ones we've gotten from Chewy. I wish I'd read the reviews in advance, because they warned of stomach upset with dogs and splintering, and questionable ingredients. I am going to return these on principle. I don't like letting companies get away with questionable products or sales tactics!

I have 4 Parson Terriers and the size is just right for them. They love these and are still working on them. That’s saying a lot as I have purchased other brands the full size and they were done within 3 days. Will definitely buy again, and again.

I wanted to love this, but unfortunately, my 9 month old corgi/shih tzu/chihuahua mix has much too powerful jaws for these small ones (I want to say it's his corgi side). He's about 13lbs only, but finished one of these chews in no more than 2 hours. I had given him another brand of similar size before, and that lasted him a few days (up to a week, if I limit his chewing time). It did keep him busy while it lasted though, a great thing since he likes to bug our 12 year old Maltese to no end. Glad to receive them without mold as well, since quite a few reviewers mentioned mold on theirs. The final nib also made a nice tasty treat for him after soaking and microwaving it.I would recommend this for someone with an even smaller dog, or at least a dog with less powerful jaws. They are fragrance free and mess free. Didn't notice any digestive issues with him (then again, each dog is different, so be aware). It just didn't last long enough for my hyperactive corgi mix.
