Extended display
I bought a new Dell laptop with no USB-C port and only 1 HDMI. This adapter worked perfectly! Running 2 external monitors plus the laptop screen using USB 3.2 port. Plug and play without any manual downloading.

This is how technology should be!
I tried two different docking stations that were easily 5x more money, another adapter that was double the price and my computer would not extend the monitors or even detect the second one. Yes, I downloaded the required drivers and did all the software updates and made sure I had enough graphics space on my laptop. I was about to call the geek squad for assistance because I thought it had to be something I was doing wrong. This simple little startech was my last attempt before I literally threw my monitors and laptop through the wall. I plugged it in, it automatically downloaded the driver needed and my two additional monitors instantly turned on. I went to settings, extended and aligned my monitors and it worked perfectly. Literally plug and play! I don’t even care if it doesn’t last years, I’ll buy it again and again if I have to to save the headaches of all the others I tried.

Easy to use
I currently have a hp laptop and needed and extended my laptop screen to two monitors to use for work from home days, so far its been a couple of months and it works perfectly fine, i have no issues with it, didn’t need to install software. Plugged it in to the laptop and used hdmi for my monitors and and worked immediately

It Works!
I have this device connected to my two KYY portable monitors to the left of the picture. I need to be able to be portable when I work and use an extended desktop. My laptop only had one HDMI cable connection and this allows me to plug into a USB port and use both monitors as extended monitors. Follow the 'very good' steps to set up, and you should be good to go.Like others, I found the USB connector cable provided was a little loose when I connected it to my laptop. This could be a problem for some people, once I set up I should be fine. I was able to use with both my work computer a dell latitude and also with my HP personal computer, both Windows based.I wish it didn't require an app to be loaded to my machine because I had to request special access from my workplace (as I don't have administrator rights to my laptop there), that was kind of a pain. Because of needing to load additional software and also because of the loose USB connection I'm giving it four stars.I'm not sure if it'll pass the test of time but for now, it does what it is advertised to do.

installed my extra monitors with Eaze
solves all issues with lack of drivers on HP laptops, some laptops don't have the rights thus cant use drivers for usb C connection of multi monitors, after buying several devices well this one solved my issue , it's usb not C but still i have my two extra monitors and can now multi task according to my need, unit did not auto install had to go to the page and download the drives but still works very well as advertised,

Works like a charm!
I recently bought a new laptop not realizing the USB-C port was data only. After reading a few boards, this little gem was recommended to solve my problem. I got it early the next am from Amazon, followed the tutorials and it works like a charm! The graphics are very good too! Very happy with this purchase!

Perfect Solution for Dell Inspiron Capped at 1080p!
This USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter let me successfully use my Dell Inspiron 15 3530 (plastic chassis model capped at 1080p) at 2k and 4k. I believe this adapter works given that it uses its own external graphics driver ("Connected to Trigger 6 External Graphics") and therefore not reliant on the PC's limitations. To give some background, it was apparent that this Dell 3530 was limited to 1080p from some hardware limitations and its typical display ports based on the official tech specs below:-USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port (for computers shipped with a plastic chassis)-HDMI 1.4 (Maximum resolution supported over HDMI is 1920x1080 @60Hz. No 4K/2K output)Before this adapter, 1080p via native HDMI was both grainy and stretched. Not good for productivity or the eyes. Given that HDMI was capped at 1080p and the USB-C port did not include DisplayPort Alt Mode 1.4, my options were to buy a new laptop, settle for an inferior display at 1080p, or find a workaround solution. From some online searches, a potential workaround solution was in the form of a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter which led me to this product. While using an older USB-A port seemed counterintuitive at first, this was a successful solution. Although it took a minute, installation was plug and play, and my PC detected both 2k ultra-wide and 4k wide displays tested without the need to download or update any drivers. The dual monitor feature also works well, though I had to first connect my 2k monitor to the 4k display slot to maintain its ultra-wide fidelity, then connect my 4k TV to the 1k display slot (displaying at 1k). The 1k was slightly over scanned while using dual displays, though this is hardly an inconvenience overall when my main intent is to use my PC with a single ultra-wide monitor. The resolution displayed is crisp and smooth. The adapter itself is lightweight plastic and appears well-built, though time will tell on its long-term reliability.Hardware used and tested:PC: Dell Inspiron 15 3530 (max 1920x1080 at 60Hz)Display adapter (this product): StarTech USB 3.0 to Dual HDMI Adapter, USB to 2x HDMI Monitor Converter2k display: Samsung Ultra-Wide HD LS34C650TANXGO monitor (3440x1440 at 50hz)4k display: Samsung 55" UN55MU6290 TV (3840x2160 at 30hz)
