What is the dimensions of this e26 light socket adapter? Does it fit 3-prong plug or 2-prong plug?

A DANGEROUS PRODUCT—DO NOT USE IT! Light Socket to Plug Adapter Return it, do not use it. Shame on Amazon for allowing this to be sold! I did call and explain to them the dangerous situation. Problem 1: The ground connection on the female plug side of the adaptor is open and Not connected to any ground. This results in an open ground receptacle. You think you have a good, grounded receptacle, but you DO NOT. Again, it is an OPEN GROUND and dangerous to use when the ground is required. The item is not safety tested by UL, and not UL Listed. Problem2: The hot and neutral may be reversed! The 3 I purchased and tested are reversed! IMPORTANT: The lamp socket you screw this item into has NO ground connection, and the item itself has NO ground connection on the male screw end. Again, immediately return this item and do not use it! Especially if the item you are plugging into this adaptor requires a ground connection. I am a retired Electrical Engineer with an MS degree and experience in the power electrical field for many many years.

Can a small sump pump be plugged into this? Pump is a 3-prong.

When you turn off the light at the normal switch, will anything you have plugged in to the adapter also turn off?

Yes, the plug converter is carried out at the same time, making every electrical appliance work at the same time

Does the adaptor still provide power even when the light switch is off? It would be kind of pointless if you need to continuously need power.

No. The power turns on and off with the light switch control. As an alternative you could install a smart bulb and control with a smart switch, keeping the outlet always on and using the smart switch to control the bulb.

Bought this socket for small project of mine and it works wonderfully. Good quality, easy to use and fits perfectly. However it not easy to plug things in when it screw in the socket. I have not experienced any electrical problems when I use it so i will say it's safe to use.

Great for those areas where you don't have enough outlets

My basement only has one actually outlet but 6 light sockets so these are a must down there.I've plugged in fans, extension cords and heat lamps with no problems.

One of the two didn't work. These are very lightweight but at least one of the two worked as a plug-in for a 4' LED work light.

Do not buy came apart on its own when installing. No force or anything, metal socket just spun off the plastic housing and connections broke.
