Life Extension Two Per Day Capsules, 120 Count (2 Pack)

I've been purchasing the Life Extension Two-Per-Day vitamins for some time now. They've helped me ensure my vitamin D levels are raised to normal levels. We live in a region that gets little sunlight most of the year, so these vitamins are quite helpful.There are a few different styles of this vitamin. One is a tablet and another is a capsule. I've always purchased the tablets, but noticed the capsules were a little cheaper, so I thought I'd try them.The first thing I noticed is, they don't stink. The tablets stink bad, but the capsules don't. With the tablets, I just swilled them down, and it was never an issue. I never noticed any foul taste, burping, or stomach issues. It just smelled bad when I took it out of the container. The capsules have no smell, which is nice. And, like the tablet, I don't notice any bad taste, burping, or stomach distress.What I don't care for with the capsules is that capsules float. So when I take it, I need to take something to push and hold the tablet down, otherwise it sits in my esophagus. I find myself chugging water, trying to get it down.I definitely recommend either the capsules or the tablets. If you get the tablets, just be aware they smell bad. Other than this, they're a great product. If you get the capsules, be sure to eat food when taking it, otherwise you may find it sticks in your throat for a while.

I ordered this by accident. I though I was ordering D3+K. So I had them, and thought I might as well try them. I find them to be very effective. I have a significant number of GI issues, including IBS with diarrhea (secondary to c. diff infection more than a year ago), GERD, ulcer disease and swallowing difficulties due to a hiatal hernia. I have had no problems with these even with all my GI problems. I take them with food to help me swallow and they go down well. There is no aftertaste, no burping and no heartburn. I am always concerned about absorption, because of IBS, but they seem to break down quickly and absorb, and my urine is not excessively yellow like with some vitamins that I have tried.Nor do they show up whole in my stool. My son is particularly sensitive to nutrients and what goes into his body. He can sense very well how a product is affecting him. He also feels that these are particularly good. So they have worked well for both of us. I take 2 a day, and he feels for him that once a day is sufficient.

When Vitacost stopped carrying these I panicked because I have been taking these for years. I have no desire to try to switch as most do not have the high milligrams of each vitamin/mineral like these do. So I am very very happy to find these on Amazon. I received them quickly and in perfect condition and they were a great price. I WILL be ordering again!

We have been using the Life Extension Two Per Day tablets and capsules for many years and we like them. But I am writing this review for one purpose only and that is to say that twice now I have ordered the capsules and I have received instead the tablets. I will inform customer service of this problem, but I thought readers of this review ought to be prepared to get tablets instead of capsules. If that change is important to the reader, he or she might want to order directly from Life Extension. The price is about the same.

I'm not sure that mutivitamins actually provide any real health benefits, but these include all the stuff that you're supposed to need in quantities that exceed what you're supposed to need, so if they actually provide any benefit, then they're probably worth the money. I've bought them twice, maybe three times, and still have no idea if they're doing me any good, but I seem to keep taking them (when I remember, anyway...).
