I really needed something to hold heavier books, because it's painful for me to do it now. This one seemed like the best of them, the height seeming to be right, not requiring me to bend my neck to read.It was actually better than expected - very sturdy, heavy enough to hold a large, thick paperback. Takes a little practice to use the clips on either side effectively, but they hold it quite well and the book doesn't wobble and fall off when you loosen the right one to turn the page. Is it as easy as reading on a Kindle or a tablet and you can swipe? Of course now, but some of us still enjoy real books! Haven't tried it with a hard cover one.The only improvement I'd suggest would be to make the 'ledge' where the book sits a little wider and to add the hint of a 'lip' to make it more secure. I'd also like to be able to tilt the book if I want to, angling it up or down but I don't think you can do so. The swivel feature is actually quite useful, to swing it out of the way to say look something up on the computer.All in all, exactly what I wanted. Recommend it for anyone who has trouble holding a heavy book or getting it into a position that eases the strain on the neck , shoulders and arms. Having to keep the head bent downwards for long periods can be painful for some. Seniors will appreciate this as would anyone recovering from some kind of injuring or surgery. I use it sitting at a table. It is not suitable for putting on your lap. That would have to be another type of device altogether. I think it was good for the price, neither cheap nor too expensive.

I tried other bookstands. This is so much easier to use and is light. Since I just received it, I can't predict if it will be durable. So far, it's the best one I've tried.

Using this stand for both my iPad and laptop. Light to carry around, easy to set up the height and angle when I am switching between iPad/laptop. Hopefully this will help correct my reading posture!

I bought this specifically to use with cookbooks and I love it. I have also used it at times with my tablet, but I have other tablet stands for that... but this is the missing link if you need a sleek, sturdy, mobile/collapsible stand for books. I keep this in a kitchen cabinet and pop it out when I'm using a cook book (or a magazine with recipes), and it makes it easy to see the recipe - and keep the paper out of my ingredients!

I use this product for my music notes (I play bass) its a great product overall. It folds nicely and its pretty compact. Theres a lot of flexibility and I love that considering I could play standing up and sitting down !

I ordered this because I needed my hands free while teaching. I use this primarily with a curriculum book that is long. It fits nicely. The book isn’t hardback so I thought the pressure of the clips would crease it but it doesn’t. The book stays secure and it doesn’t cause any damage. I also love that it is adjustable. I still need to see my students while using this and I can adjust it as needed. The adjustment options are endless and it moves smoothly. My book is pretty heavy and it doesn’t lean or tilt. The base is very sturdy and so are the clips. This book stand has solved my problem and it is lightweight and easy to use. I can’t think of any cons but if I do I’ll update my review.

When reading or doing research, the question always comes up, what do I do with the book? You can lay it flat and put something on it to hold it open. Now it's flat and hard to see. This stand is exactly what I was looking for.The book 📚 it's holding in the photo is over 500 pages, the stand does a good job. Some things I like are:- The sides expand to hold larger books and can be pushed in to clamp down from the sides.- The page holders are easy to operate and transparent.- The two supporting hinges are very stiff, so no gravity book drooping while in use.- The hinges have all the range of motion I need.- The stand is metal and heavy. The holder is hard plastic.- The stand has an extra feature of rotating like a lazy Susan. Very unexpected and very useful.- The whole thing is attractive looking.If you read books or do research from them, I would highly recommend a holder like this. This one has great features and wasn't lacking anything I wanted.

I was so excited when I saw this book stand. I love to read by the pool and in the tub, and I had been looking for a book stand. This stand is well made, adjustable for small or large books, and works great. I love it!
