Don't use in a fully enclosed light fixture!!!
Nowhere on the outside box/packaging does it say that you CAN'T USE THESE IN A FULLY CLOSED FIXTURE, only when you open the box you notice it says it on the actual bulb. HOW IS THIS General Electric's BEST BULB? when it cant even handle this? They are very expensive$$ I have 3 of these types of fixtures in my hallways, and I finally figured out why they only last about 6 months. The quality of the light is very good, but they should have made them usable in a fully enclosed light fixture before THEY EVER PUT THIS LIGHT TO MARKET. shame on GE for not marking on the outside of the box that you can't use them like this.

Quality is very Poor , but color good
My Thoughts:I don’t know why I keep buying these…because they don’t seem to last. I originally bought these at Lowes and 1 didn’t work at all. Then I got replacements and after 6 months 2 started to flicker randomly. If I touched them they would stop but after 10 minutes they would flicker again. Eventually they just wouldn’t turn on at all. So out of 8 GE bulbs so far, 5 have gone defective. I’m hoping these last longer and they have been in since1/4/18 without an issue. The Funny thing is these really aren’t even GE is or has unloaded this business already so its not that Iconic bulb that it used to be… On the positive side, the color is perfect and I couldn’t find another LED bulb that would match it .The Bottom Line:I don’t suggest getting these unless you are patient enough to return them as they break.

Good Color Temp But Poor Dimming Performance
I've used these bulbs over the vanities in several bathrooms, and the color temperature (2850K) is excellent for that use: it's noticeably less yellow without giving everything (especially your face) the greenish cast that "daylight" (3000K and up) bulbs do. HOWEVER ... do NOT buy these if you plan on dimming them -- they do not dim smoothly, and they seem to go from bright to unusably dim without anything in between. (For what it's worth, I've found Philips LED bulbs to be the best ones for use with dimmers.)

This has nice bright light--abd while nothing matches the original Reveal incandescents ...
This has nice bright light--abd while nothing matches the original Reveal incandescents for color balance and brightness--in my opinion. All the new LED's seem to have less lumens than the old-style bulbs, but this is the closest I have found. one thing to be aware of--they are larger than normal bulbs--you can see from the image, but they don't fit in every lamp or ceiling fan light.

Excellent for my garage door opener
I installed other LED bulbs for use in my Liftmaster 3305FW garage door opener and within several uses I lost connection to all transmitters. I investigated this on the Liftmaster website and found that only these GE Lightning Refresh LEDs and those bulbs of one another brand were recommended by Liftmaster as LEDs for use in my opener. After reprogramming all openers I installed these bulbs about three month ago and not once have I lost connection.

Bright Soft White light
The best soft white light you can get !! I hate the white or bright day light type bulbs, it aggravates my migraine and these are perfect. Installed them in a ceiling fixture and they’re absolutely gorgeous. The light is so evenly spread out that I didn’t bother with putting on the glass dome cover on top. They get really bright the moment you turn them on and light up any room. I put them in a kitchen that’s 8ftx8ft and it’s ample light. They’re relaxing to the eye yet provide enough light that you can see everything in your room clearly. One of the best options for LED soft white light. Highly recommend them.

For a workspace
I am using this in the ceiling fixture in my den/library/office, which holds two bulbs. 60 and even 75 watts was not enough. The Refresh bulb provides a bright white light that is much better than the usual soft white when it comes to reading or other work that requires sharp vision. I recently had one bulb start to flicker, after only 22 months of use. GE offers a five-year warranty, but you have to mail the bulb to them, which would cost almost as much as the bulb.

Not as nice a glow as the old Reveal lights and...
More cons than pros to these new lights - for us. Always a big fan - been using them for years - of the original Reveal lighting as we live in a dark house and the more natural tones were much nicer than the yellow or white of most bulbs. The led replacement seem to be, in general, bigger bulbs. That makes them a tight fit in some of our lamps. And, these led lights tend to "funnel" the light more in one direction rather than just being a glowing orb, for example, on the ceiling. One our ceiling fans, very high up, had only one bulb but it spread a diffuse - if dimmer than desired - light in the room. These led casts the light to one side of the fixture, leaving half the room as dark, or, darker than when we started. "Well, that didn't work..." We're sending these back. More white light that a Reveal bulb should be, larger bulbs than our fixtures seem to like, and, that "funneling" of the light. Oh, well...

"Not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures"
Just like my headline says: "Not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures"It doesn't say this anywhere in the product description. I didn't find out that they are a little bigger than a standard bulb. I read the fine-print on the side box and it states "Not for use in totally enclosed or recessed fixtures".This needs to be added to the product description so more people don't have to go through this hassle...

Caminos Sinuosos.
Pues.. a comprar!

Does not work with incandescent dimmer, had to replace dimmer switch
Good bright daylight, just what I needed and dimming function works well with a dimmer designed for LED lights. Wish that was noted in the description. With normal dimmer switch, light would not shut off completely, had a slight glow even with switch turned off on the dimmer.

Exactly as advertised
This was ordered as a replacement for a Philips bulb.It is bright but gave off a weird smell the first time I switched it on.It might still be doing it for all I know but the light fixture blocks any odor.

Interfere with my Chamberlain garage door opener
First, this is a great light bulb. 100W-equivalent so very bright. Daylight spectrum: give the impression my garage has no roof. Unfortunately, the LED frequency is interfering with my Chamberlain garage door opener.
