Useless waste of money.
This product started pretty off with its unnecessary complications on how to use. It wasn't like literally any other auto catcher that lets you decide whether or not it works when activated. As I very slowly started getting used to it, the wrist parts of snapped off out of nowhere. I wasn't even doing any risky activity. I was just sitting down and one of the wrist sides just broke off for no reason. Eventually the other side broke off too, and I wasn't even wearing it around my wrist because it was physically impossible after the first wrist part broke off (OUT OF NOWHERE).After having to wear it like a hidden trinket in a small pocket, it eventually just stopped working. The screen went black, and although my app would still be able to register the app, it still wouldn't catch. This device is now a $35+ useless PoS by the time my return window just expired. This was described as an updated item to the other Gotcha devices which made sense because it was the same price as the original devices used to be before their prices went up, but it certainly was not an upgrade, and not worth the amount of money you have to spend for one. What's weird about this review section is some of the problems I've expressed in this are listed in the 5 star reviews. Why are people pointing these out and still acting like this product is flawless? The whole Gotcha brand has become an absolute rip off of your money.

Great catching tool
I must say I have noticed this works so much smoother on my iPhone but once you get it to connect to the Android it works very well there too. The charger is more accessible however if you breath on it wrong it will disconnect from the devise. The magnetic charger isnt very powerful but it does charge super fast if you can find the sweet spot of connection. Very pleased with this purchase.

Hard to charge
The charge cord has magnets and has a hard time staying connected!

Works, but you get what you pay for.
Pros:Affordable.Catches Pokémon.Has an auto-catcher and auto-spinner.Offers some settings and can be configured via an app.Battery lasts at least a full day.Cons:The single-touch button interface is quite annoying to use.The touch button sometimes triggers on its own, which can accidentally disable the catcher or spinner (this happened to me multiple times—the solution is to set it up and place it somewhere it won’t touch your body). It may frequently disconnect from the Pokémon app. Sometimes, it stays stable for hours, while other times, it disconnects every minute, requiring you to keep it nearby for reconnection. Not sure what causes this issue.Build quality is bad—the screen cover started to delaminate after just a few uses. The magnetic charger is poorly designed—it’s hard to align, the magnet is weak, and the charger can fall off from just a light breeze.

Do not Buy
I have owned a lot of the different versions of the gotchas, this in my opinion is the worst one. I bought 2 of these thinking the first was broken. I wanted this to work, tried it for a week. I will stick with the Evolve until they fix the issues in this model. The wrist band does not fit well and is small, reminds me of the gen one. The charging I was excited about as I am a fan of charging cords. I don't always have room to plug in my evolve into a usb port. The magnets on the cord and watch SUCK. It will become disconnected if you look them wrong. I had to use a clamp like an oversized clothespin to ensure it would charge. Even when you do get it to charge the battery life is nothing like the gen 1 or evolve, this one died in just a couple hours and I could run all day on the others. The touch screen area is very buggy. You can tap it and it will turn modes on and off or clear step counts like you're holding it down, and other times you can hold it down trying to turn modes on and off and it will switch to the next mode as if you just tapped the screen.Over all I really wanted this to work as the Evolve was a big jump up from the gen one I thought, I had hoped this one would be even better than the evolve. I am sad to say I think they took a step backwards, this thing just does NOT work, neither of the 2 I bought work and share the same issues. It just feels cheaper all the way around. I do hope they are able to come out with a version 2 of this and I'd give them another shot. All the rest of the products I've got from Datel have been great.

The Worst Personal Electronic Device I Ever Bought
The first one I bought had its wrist band mount break after wearing it for only a few days. I was merely removing it one day and the plastic mount just fell off, broken. This revealed the bad design of how the wristband connects to the case and the exceptionally low quality of the plastic.I exchanged it for another. The second one worked for about four days until the screen suddenly failed, displaying a jumble of lines and becoming unusable. Again, without any cause whatsoever. I just wore it on my wrist, as it was designed to be.Even when working it suffered from a variety of design and manufacturing flaws.- Random software crashes with a blue error screen- Shockingly poor build quality- Cheap plastic case that flexes too much and offers inadequate protection- Awkward wrist strap- Menu is very frustrating to use as settings frequently revert to defaults for no reasonThis thing is so bad it amazes me that someone thought to actually sell it. Every damned one should be recalled and the company’s management fired.Absolute garbage.

It works
Some reviews complained the screen didn’t work. It’s not a touch screen, the little circle on the bottom of the watch face is where you want to press (well, the whole bottom part of the screen). Otherwise, it works great. Straps fell off about 3 weeks of constant use, but honestly It’s easier to carry with those off.
