Excellent product- Use full PPE though.
After admitting that my repointing skills had made quite a mess of the brick faces. I quickly decided to find a way to clean them up. I ended up with this product and boy does it work. You'll need to apply the mortar remover upto a few days after the stain was made, and this is an acid so take all PPE precautions. It stings like hell as I accidentally spilt a little on my arm & hand (quickly rinse off with plenty of cold water and I was ok)I applied this with some old toothbrushes as I needed to be careful where the acid went, if you're only doing a small area, say under 50 bricks, then a few old toothbrushes will work fine, and stops the fluid over running onto the fresh mortar, and will give the the advantage of attention to detail. It definitely works, leave it on 20 mins, and then put the hose on mist setting and thoroughly rinse off and make sure to rinse away any residue well if pets are going to be walking around where you've been working. Also works on block paving too.Recommended for people who aren't great at brick pointing (!)

Strong Stuff
I liked that it was strong solution unlike others .Just completed my patio and it all It all looked good when I hosed it down. Once dry it was still dirty with from earth stains but also cement staining,Tried this solution it on two blocks separately and they came up clean and cement free plus efflorescence gone too so I used it full strength on my charcoal block pavers and left it on for a while before washing off. They came up so clean and defect free ,could have tried it with half strength but this worked for me. Only thing to add is it can cause change in pigmentation so you do need to be cautious if your doing a drive etc. But for me it worked better than expected. One thing to remember that a good scrubbing brush is required.

Fine for the job I wanted done
I used this to clean up granite setts and (diluted) to clean flagstones after a messy building job. It is first rate for removing surface staining but requires a bit more effort (and more than one application) for more stubborn stuff (I suspect that to remove the very hard stuff in one go would require a strength of acid solution that health and safety would not allow to be sold over the counter). Still dangerous stuff, however, so has to be used with care. But overall, I was well satisfied with the product.Delivery and packaging from the company were fine as was the price (half of what B&Q were charging - they apparently had it in stock but none of the staff could find it on the shelves for me........).

Removed mortar from block paving
Had some building work done and afterwards my block paved drive was ruined with mortar and rust stains. This stuff worked wonders. Some stains needed more than one treatment but eventually looks as good as new. π

3.5 stars
The media could not be loaded. My dad left cement in the cracks that were impossible to remove. I tried everything even a carbide rubbing block (which required too much effort for such a big patch of land to cover). So I brought this.First of all it works on light cement stains as you can see but please DO NOT leave on longer than recommended time because it WILL stain your paving with this yellow stain. Which it has done for mine ππ. However on more heavier cement stains you either need to do this two or three times or use a rubbing block aswell. With just the lighter spills, it was able to get rid of most of that. I tried to buy a wire drill attachment to scrub alongside using this but that wasn't really helpful. At least there is a large quantity of liquid to use which will cover all the patio I need sorting out. Please see video attached.

Perfect for tidying up an internal brick wall after plaster removal
Some plaster came down like a sheet in our house and we decided to keep it as a feature wall rather than replaster it. Brick acid ideal for removing the last of the dusty mortar from the surface, and seal it with PVA. Applied with a chunky paint brush (and wore gloves) and the dust and last chunks of loose mortar just fizz away lovely. Washed the wall down with water (with a brush) after and it achieved the desired effect. Loads left over too and the wall is a good 20 foot long. Handy to keep for further projects.

An easy to use product which did a good job.
I was sceptic about this product - whether it would work or not. Our block driveway looked a mess after my husband had had the bright idea of mixing some cement with the soft sand you put on the drive after pressure washing to replace the sand washed out from inbetween the blocks. This product was very easy to use. One part product, one part water, then brush onto area where cement marks are. I used a soft long handled brush and it did the job perfectly. After leaving the product on for 20 to 30 minutes, I pressure washed off. It softened the cement inbetween the blocks and this washed out with the pressure washer. Some of the blocks are still stained but I recon a second coat will improve it even more. I would recommend it but I have yet to prove that the heavier cemented areas will clean up. However, because of its performance on the first coat, I am going to persevere and apply second and even third coat to these more difficult areas.
