Not so tiny, but good practice
Nice item, decent price for the quality. It was fairly easy to assemble, but it wasn’t as small as the board I was going to solder, which meant I was slightly under-prepared. The actual board went well, and I’m sure working on this helped with that.

Buy a learning project somewhere else!
I wish I could leave 0 stars. No instructions ... Had to go off of just supplied photo. Put project together but only 3 LEDS lit up. The supplied battery holder was the worst! It was miss-shapen (batteries barely fit!), positive and negative wires were not secured, and if batteries were not NEW... the project did not function. ( I soldered a USB cable to board to solve power problem... It worked enough "ish" so I guess I learned something beneficial... But it still didn't work as described. ). Please don't buy... As someone learning a skill you should not be left wondering "Is it me? Or is this thing just faulty?". ...it is not you... It is just total crap.

Fun, but no instructions
First soldering project, ever. All the parts were present, and it does work. I've included a picture of the device and another of the directions. The "instructions" are literally just a picture of a schematic and of the device put together, not a single step is outlined. I thought about only giving three stars because of the this (isn't this meant for beginners?) but decided to stick with four because it forced me to do a little research, and it did work. With that said, I definitely had to look up some of the parts and watch a YouTube video or two to know which direction to install them. Could have easily put it together incorrectly if I didn't already know that things like diodes are polarized.

Great for teaching soldering
these were used for a Scouts event to teach beginner soldering. Everyone had a great time

Great for practice and polarity identification
Should be a super simple build. I couldn't get it to do much. I did have very out of range resistors and might go back and replace the resistors with more accurate ones out of my parts drawer and see how it goes. All my LEDs do light up, I just don't see the whole random LED thing as mostly the same one stays on most of the time. For the money it was an ok kit.

Interesting practice
I didn’t have my meter, could use better instructions. But the picture helps with the practice.

Missing part
I bought this project for my son to learn how to use his new soldering machine. The kit was missing a critical part to prevent it from completely working. Was not worth the hassle to return.
