Makes a bit of humming noise but it’s a low noise

This device is quite loud when it's on , so can't leave it on overnight, also no on off button so have to unplug every time. I think there is an update version that has an on off button on the device and maybe its quieter, but I wasn't given an alternative so got this one, but leaves a lovely fragrance whe used with the oils from the same Company

Cant turn it off using the switch on the ball. Have to turn on and off using mains,Doesnt give out no smells if using essential oils.

Have been using this over the last few weeks, and it's a decent little machine. However, I can't really say whether it's made a difference or not. This is my first humidifier so not sure what I was expecting, but hoped I'd feel a difference in air moisture and in my skin (which was becoming dried out by the cold weather) - not much change there. I have been using this during house construction work, a lot of dust flying around, and I think it has probably reduced the effects of dust but again, I can't be completely certain. I'm aware that this is probably the most pointless review ever :) Still, at the price, it's worth trying it out for yourself!Other points: I have mixed a few drops of oil into it sometimes to add fragrance, which is nice. I love the blue light at night as it's relaxing and also makes it easy for me to wake up at early hours. In terms of noise, it has a low whirring sound which I can't hear outside of my bedroom when it's on, and is like white noise so I don't have trouble sleeping through it.

Cannot praise this air purifier highly enough. Proved to be of great relief to this allergy sufferer and helped me overcome a bad cough I'd been suffering from before purchase within a couple of days.As long as the unit is maintained - keeping the water bowl clean and the occasional limescaling of the one removable part - the purifier will run smoothly. The noise level is a personal thing, but I found it to be pretty benign, further reassured by the low running cost.I'm yet to use any essential oils (water soluble only) but if you know anyone that smokes, the odour is neutralised within about 20 minutes of use without a fragrance. This is great value unit. Show it a little love and it will serve you for a long time.
