Which one would you recommend this Korg or the Novation MiniNova Analog Modeling Sythesizer?

Another current sound the MiniNova can easily do is the screechy feedback resonance. I haven't tried to get this sound on the Korg, but it would be worth a try.

Would this keyboard be suitable for playing in a genre like progressive rock?

I use it for electronic and alternative rock. It's an amazing piece of equipment but I can't give you a definitive answer because I don't play progressive rock. Sorry
