Engines of War ⎸Castle Panic Expansion ⎸Board Game for Adults and Family ⎸Cooperative Board Game ⎸Ages 8+ ⎸for 1 to 6 Players

My grandson got the children’s version a couple of years ago snd loved it so for his 9th birthday we got him this adult version. He lives it and I enjoyed it as well.

Love castle panic and have all the expansions. This one is probably my least favorite as there are a lot of rules to remember for this one. I like the idea it adds to the game but it is a very time consuming process to build the siege weapons. But it certainly helps to battle the monsters when you do. We played with some of our own rules and enjoyed it but just my opinion

This was a gift for our grandchildren. They appear to like it, but I cannot say how easy it is bc I have not played it myself yet. I do not feel it will be difficult from what I saw, though.

It is a great expansion pack to add options to an already awesome game. While it isn't my favorite of the expansions, my son absolutely loves building the catapults and trebuchets. If you love Castle Panic and want some more options for play, you can't go wrong with this.

This game is notoriously easy to win. Kids like it for a while, but there's little challenge. I thought an expansion might help, but this one did not. I've heard others are better for this.

This was a nice concept but it was just lacking in the execution, this expatiation added great attacks to help you defend the castle but the methods to get those attacks were hard to meet. I played a few rounds of castle panic with this expatiation but it tended to just make the game harder without actually helping much. The rules take a minute to learn but they're not hard by any means, but for the price you are better off looking at their other expansions. If you dont have castle panic get the hell out here you just wasted your time.

Castle Panic is part of our regular family rotation of board games. The original game is just great cooperative fun, and plays like an old Space Invaders video game, get all the attackers before they get to the barriers...and you...at the bottom.This expansion really through off the play balance for us, we haven't beaten it yet. I would recommend getting the first two (which we own as well) Wizards tower and Dark Titan which have more play balance.With the original game, there were ups and downs depending on monster draws and the luck of the dice, and that made it fun. Things could turn in your favor even if things looked grim because every monster was beatable by a good draw, or letting them die on taking out the walls.With this expansion, one bad die roll or draw of the wrong 'engine of war' with two high-hit-point monsters inside would mean the instant end-of-the game where we just give up. It takes TOO LONG to build the big defensive weapons, and we just don't even bother, instead going with nothing but traps to slow down the assault. We haven't played one game where the catapult ever did anything. "Oh well, we're doomed...." let's play Catan! is a common end of game phrase with this one.

The package itself was kind of messed up buckle with the board game of this memory cards so the cars are fine that's the reason why I have three Stars

LOVE this game and this expansion was great. I would say it makes Castle panic harder, and it might not be for everyone if you’re struggling with the main game. Will definitely try the other expansion after trying this one. Remember that you MUST have the original game board to play this.

This expansion to Castle Panic is great. The usual quality material in the construction. If you love Castle Panic it's a great addition
