Byron Sentry BY202 100m Wireless Plug-In Door Chime Kit with 6 Sounds

Bought two different packages which gave me 2 door bells, 2 plug in mains units and 1 battery operated unit. This gives me a very flexible arrangement of different sounds from the front door and backdoor as well as sounders which can be placed in any socket in the house and the battery operated one in the garage or garden (no problem with the range, although it is a garden, not a field). These replaced an old battery operated system which was not very good when the batteries died! I only realised they were dead if someone hammered on the door with their fist rather than just walk away. I probably had a lot more friends than I realised!! This new system has proved to be very reliable and I am extremely pleased with it.

Installed along with the  Wired to Wirefree bell push extender for the Byron BY range  and  Natural Honey Oak Plinth, ready for staining or varnishing, with 63mm dia. (2.5") brass doorbell push  to create an attractive wireless doorbell system. The system worked first time and seems reliable so far.Docking a star because a) the price seems high compared to many other wireless bells such as those from Lloytron, and b) although the ring volume can be adjusted there are only 4 levels and the highest setting isn't very loud at all and doesn't carry through the house.

The Byron Sentry BY202 does exactly what it says in the product description. It's simple to install with clear, concise instructions. There are 6 easy to hear sounds to choose from and a choice of volume levels.......and, of course, apart from the actual bell push, no annoying batteries to worry about.It can be clearly heard indoors. Although we've plugged this one in the hall, I've just ordered another kit for the conservatory so we can hear the bell clearly when we're in the garden.

These seem to work well. There's a good choice of volumes, one of which is very loud, and it seems to work reliably.We bought an extra battery powered receiver to use in the kitchen/garden.

Great for the first few weeks, then gave up completely, even a new battery didnt help. On the flip side, the return and full credit were first class.

This door chime kit is easy to set up and use but it is tooquiet even on the highest volume setting. You have to bemore or less standing next to it and if there is anybackground sound at all you can forget it.If you live in very quiet surroundings it would be OK.

Well ..There is nothing wrong with the product BUT I reckon I made a mistake in purchasing this item as I already have theByron SX1 with BRASS FINISH bell push which matches my door furniture,letter box etc and I was under the impression,wrongly as it happens that the Byron BY202 would be compatible with it ( I am not alone in thinking so !).I was informed that they are NOT compatible and only a wired bell push with a brass finish would be available.Now i have two sets totally unnecessary ... but there you go..ignorance on my part !!I do not want to drill holes in my front door which is pretty expensive.That is life I'm afraid...You win some ... and I have lost some ...Thank You.Cecil Pereira
