Excellent 5 star leather product. Hardware is 4 stars.
This is very high quality leather and the reinforced connections are equally well done. It will undoubtedly outlast my dog and I recommend it. The only improvement could be the clasp feels like chromed zinc (as described in the description) but "premium" as also describe in the description is a bit of a stretch. When we made these in the USA we often used solid brass, the difference being the toggle latch is a little "sticky". None of this matters except that it is nice when the clasp operates smoothly for the life of the product especially when you want to detach it from the collar with one hand. With few real alternatives on the market you will likely enjoy this as much as my dog does.

Good Value for Money - But...
This leash, which is made in China, has some very good attributes. The leather is a nice heavy gauge/thickness and is supple, but not "floppy." The rivet + stitching securing both the clasp and the loop handle is very well done and should last a lifetime. On the other hand... The leash is EXACTLY six feet long as measured from the outside tip of the clasp to the very end of flattened loop. Not sure what sort of chemicals were used to process/preserve the leather, but the leash has an odd scent - it smells like Playdough and that smell transfers to your hands every time you walk your dog. The clasp is cast (not forged) with the mold lines very visible. Not sure how long the clasp and the plating on it will last.

No more sore hands!!
I have a 78 lb. Labrador. She is extremely strong and difficult to handle. My last leather lead broke at the vet when the tech tried to make her heel. She twists and jumps when we visit the vet and I find it hard to control her. I ordered this lead because last week I had to take her out and she pulled so hard on the nylon lead that it tore my hand up. Blood everywhere! I read about this lead and decided to give it a try. It is wonderful! It really does seem to absorb some of the energy and makes controlling her so much easier. Also, because of the edges not being "sharp" as my nylon lead was, she can pull and jump, but I don't hurt my hands when "jerking" on the lead to get her to settle down. Great product! I highly recommend! Enjoy!

Standard Training Equipment
I bought this for my 105lb rottie who needed some refresher leash training. One side is smooth leather and the other is a soft suede, which functions as a good friction brake. 6 foot, 3/4 inch - Pretty much any dog handler is going to suggest you pick one of these up as standard equipment. This one costs a little bit more than some of the others on Amazon, but I believe the quality makes up for it. My dog is large and powerful and I'm confident I can keep her under control with this leash without worrying about it breaking or cutting my hands like a nylon leash. For about $25 you cant go wrong. With the right care this will last you a long time and it blows away most of the garbage you'll find in the big box stores.

High quality
I was really very pleasantly surprised by this leash. Our new trainer insisted on it and I just figured we’d go with the flow. But this is really nice quality with double stitching for durability. It has a distinct bit of “give” just as advertised which makes it more flexible for both me and my dog if pulling does occur. It was also really comfortable to hold and bundle in one hand if needed. Honestly, at this point I have no complaints.

UPDATE: POOR DURABILITY
Update: broke on its own ( not chewed) after less than 2 months. Forgot to return it in time. Crack developed. Either poor quality control or bad product.Just received it and so far looks reasonable in size and pliability BUT TRUTH IN ADVERTISING--it says on package MADE IN CHINA, DESIGNED IN NORWAY..??? Is it still US latigo leather as advertised on the description (Full Grain Latigo Leather. Leatherberg leather leashes are made of top quality U.S. rawhide to create a strong, beautiful lead that is easy to use and clean.)? Will have to see how the leash works over time.

Great quality product!
So far, we really like this leash. As an equestrian, I have an appreciation for nice leather, and this leash was nice and soft right out of the box. The clip and stitching are sturdy. I feel like the leather leash has a bit of forgiving "give" when our pup hits the end of it that saves my shoulder from the worst of the yank, but I don't have any worries about it breaking. While our pup is only 4.5 months old and ~30 lbs, he will be double that when he is full grown. I feel like this leash will last us a long time and will only get more pleasant to the hand as time goes on. It's a classy, well made tool and we're very happy so far.

Solid leather leash but stinky out of the box
I've always liked a good, quality leather leash. I looked at several options and settled on this one from LEATHERBERG. The quality seems good, despite having single stitching and one rivet per end. What was most noticeable though was the smell when I unboxed it. Hasn't faded after 3 days of use and rubs off on your wrist. So far it appears to be colorfast, so hopefully the smell will fade with time. Nice clasp, solid feel. Time will tell.
