I purchased this for my son who didn't want cable for his smart TV in his new apartment. I've had a bigger older ota antenna model for years connected to slingtv by way of a airtv box and firestick. At first I was concerned about the size. So to compare apples to apples I temporally mounted it with tape next to my existing antenna in my house to compare. Connecting it to my smart tv was easy peasy. First I attached the amplifier to the cord plug it into a electrical outlet and connected the coax cord to the tv. Changed the input and ran a channel search. 69 hd channels just like my other antenna. I then connected it to the slingtv app with the airtv box and it worked perfectly as if nothing had been changed (the airbox and slingtv setup is a little complicated when you first do the setup via firestick and not something I want to explain here). So actually the small size of the antenna is a plus! It can fit into a smaller area and is very light weight. This small but powerful ota antenna earns a 5 star rating from me.

Man, I should have gotten one of these little TV antennas ages ago. Since everything is on monthly subscriptions now, I'm not really willing to buy cable TV on top of my other subscription services. I was looking for a cheap alternative, and yep, I was able to get access to plenty of local channels. Not as good as actual cable TV obviously, but it's nice having those extra options for free once you've got the antenna.It did require a bit of experimentation to find a spot with good signal at my house, but once I did, I didn't have any other problems.

I really appreciate that this antenna comes equipped with a powered signal booster accessory option that plugs into the USB power slot on the back of the TV (which, on my TCL model, is conveniently located right next to the screw-on antenna coaxial jack). A blue light on the booster indicates it's being powered; seems to work great.Tip: On first channel scan I did not get all the over-the-air channels I wanted (e.g., I was missing most of the 11's and 13's, which in my area have several good game show and old-movie channels). My problem was that I had not uncoiled the excess coax cable but had left it coiled with its twist-tie, as shipped, and had hooked the whole bundle over a wall-mounting bracket on the back of the TV. I tried rescanning after I uncoiled the cable and draped it over all the TV's wall-mounting hardware. Voila! Now I have all the channels I'd missed on first scan.Though unneeded where I am, the little European coax adapter part that came with the antenna is also a thoughtful inclusion for EU purchasers.This antenna pulled in so many OTA channels that I needed to take a few minutes to use my TV's "hide channels" setting to omit the many foreign-language and other unwanted channels from my now-standard lineup of favorites. Well worth the trouble.

Nice unit. Includes a signal amp accessory that is powered from a TV USB slot. A plus over antennas where you run a power cord into a wall outlet.My TV mount gives space between the flat screen and the wall. I was able to adhere the antenna to the wall behind TV and works fineThe unit has sticky pads attached to corners of backside.. Small enough to not be seen behind the TVGlad to get rid of my sit on a shelf, rabbit ear, amplified antenna and its power cord.

I convinced my mom to cut cable because DishTV sucks and is ridiculously expensive. She only watches about 4 channels. I got her a roku and supplemented it with this antenna so she can get local news and the oldies channel. I plugged this bad boy in, did some location tweaking, and hit autoscan. Little did I know that the antenna was gonna pick up 60-some-odd local channels. I didn't even know we had that many. Anyhow, mom found a few channels that she loves; between the antenna and roku, she'll never go back to cable. Total cost for this antenna and two roku's was cheaper than a month of DishTV.

This one is worth the money. It’s working better than any other digital antenna that I have purchased in the past. It picked up over 60 over the air channels. Why pay for cable when you never even watch majority of the channels. Using this to pick up air channels and paying for 2 steaming services is all I need. No thank you cable companies. I can’t figure out why people are paying over 100 dollars a month to those crooks to watch only a few channels.
