We bought a new piece of furniture that had no choice in room layout but to block the light switch so I just installed and mounted in side of new dresser - works great!!

Large, but works wellInstallation and configuration is the biggest challenge. The switch takes up a LOT of room in the electrical box. My electrical box was a 3 gang and only about 2” deep. The switch itself is about 1.5” deep - which doesn’t leave a lot of room for the 14g wires and wire nuts for connection.Make sure you get your batteries and install them before you tackle this job.Be extra careful to shut off circuit breakers to the area you are working in!Once installed it worked fine and will control multiple “dimmable” lights in circuit.If the switch were more compact and came with the required CR2032 batteries, I could rate higher - but at this point I can only give 4 stars.I am giving this switch my Big-Foot “STOMP” of approval with 4 stars.I do keep up with my reviews and will revisit this one should the need arise.

so, i installed this with the neutral wire that the instructions say. The light switch works as is is supposed to but could not pair the remote.

I like the design of the switch with the button face graphics which is self-explanatory on what does what when you press it. It is however a battery operated switch that eventually will stop working because the battery will go dead and needs to be changed, and from my experience it seems always at the most inconvenient times. But it is what it is, and they do not supply the battery with the switch. So you should buy the freshest CR2032 battery you can get in the beginning with the longest expiration date on the pack. The dimmer switch receiver hooks up between your light and your A/C house power so that will always be good, and it is easy to do. The other thing you need to be aware of is that this is only a 2 Amp rated unit which may limit you on the type of lights you may want to control. Figure that out first to see if it is a match as some LED high lumen lights take more than 2 amps. Other than that it does what it says it does.

This works, but the ground wasn’t really connected inside the unit and it’s sealed so there’s no way to fix. We hooked it up anyway and it does the job but the quality of the piece gives it the 3 starsWould look for an alternative …

I've been using this as a standalone remote for my dimmable track lighting for the past 4 months. I've not tried integrating this with any home automation. It was easy to install, just be aware that it requires a neutral wire. The stand alone remote is perfect for dimming and on/off functionality. I like that the remote can be wall mounted like a regular light switch and then popped off to use like a regular remote. The control is pretty resilient as it's fallen down several times on a tile floor and still works perfectly.

This switch actually worked out perfectly for a specific situation that I have. Due to a pocket door and local building codes which require that a light switch be mounted outside of the bathroom, the switch for my main master bathroom light is located about six feet away from the door, and in a very awkward location. Strange! I resolved the issue by replacing the switch with this one, then mounting the remote just outside the bathroom door...where it should be! It's worked out perfectly! It is powering five 10 watt LED lights, and effectively dims them from about 1% (estimated) to full brightness. We never actually use the main switch anymore. Having the remote right outside the door is SO much more convenient!Installation was simple. The switch is slightly on the large side, so I did have to fiddle with the wires a bit in order to get them all back into the box. Kind of a letdown that the remote does not include the CR-2032 battery, but I had some on hand, so no big deal. (If you have to buy one, but it from Amazon. Local stores charge crazy money for them!). The switches easily paired with Alexa, and are working great. My only minor gripe is that it seems like these switches have too many buttons on them. Why four buttons, when you could do everything with one toggle switch like most other dimmer switches. Personally, I prefer a singly toggle switch, but that's just me. All in all, this is a nice product that works as advertised. Perfect for my strange situation. Recommend!
