This is a different take on the ratcheting screwdriver. It's got a ball-hold, that fits in your palm. Seems made for reaching and more precise tasks. You can hold it still in your palm, and control the screwing with your fingers, the twist the hold thing to finish the job.It has a long, thin shaft. The yellow collar stiffly twists to control direction. Opposite twist of that to your desired direction. Hard to activate by accident, and a little hard to active intentionally also.Accepts the standard 1/4th inch bits, which secure by a VERY strong magnet with no locking function. Takes some force to get them out.Ratcheting is smooth, with a loud, metallic clicking sound. A little louder, and more metallic than most. The back ratchet is very light, easier than usual. Less likely to unscrew a less firmly planted screw.There is a little bit of lateral handle wiggle/slop, and some rotational wiggle also. About average for a good ratcheting driver.The handle is hard rubber where the knurling is, and hard plastic elsewhere. The way it fits in your hand, it feels more suited to precise work rather than brute force turning. Surprisingly comfortable. Easy to push down a little harder on the screw though with your palm.Overall, very nice and quite unique. I like how you can hold the screw in place and twist the shaft with your thumb and index finger to start, then twist with your wrist once it tightens up a little. I'll start by saying I'm not a fan of racheting screwdrivers. Doom scrolling on Amazon, as usual, led me to this one. I've never heard of Vessel, but the ball design and the feature of removing the ball to make a stubby ratcheting screwdriver (along with it's glorious reviews here) tempted me to buy it.Great decision. The ergonomics and the quality of the build are excellent. I personally won't pass up on any Vessel tool that piques my interest in the future!

I'm recently all about the ball-grip screwdrivers. This design has a comfy grip and great ratcheting functionality. Best of all you can pull the ball grip off and you have a ratcheting stubby screwdriver too making it very versatile.

I bought this because I couldn't wait to save up for the electric model and it's excellent for basically every application not better done by an impact driver. Much lower wrist strain than any other manual driver, lightweight, strong, it's very enjoyable.

This thing is great. I have larger hands, so I haven't had a single issue with it accidentally changing directions or anything. The center position of the switch locks the shaft in place with very little movement. The magnetic retention is nice and strong with no retaining ring, so the made in Japan bits with longer bases work just fine as well. The ratcheting mechanism is very smooth with no excess play. It doesn't feel cumbersome to use at all. The stubby driver in the handle I a nice touch as you can buy different driver shafts for it. I'd like to try the Anex version next.

Easily the best screwdriver i have owned. I own quite a lot of screw drivers and have been looking for a another stubby when i came across this one. Ergonomics on this are incredible. Although i stumbled across this looking for a stubby i have now switched this to my main full sized screw driver as well. Build quality is excellent and even the bit is excellent. The bit is precise and the magnet is strong enough to hold the screw at the tip while shaking it. Definitely worth the money for it.
