A great set of strings

I play the grand auditorium body size of electro acoustic guitar, all three of my guitars are Taylors and these are the recommended brand and gauge .i agree that this top heavy light bottom gauge is just right for this body size giving an even tone across the strings and a comfortable playing experience.My only negative is they are expensive but i have tried other brands and although sound is subjective to MY ears i prefer Elixirs on a Taylor but that is my opinion others may differ.

I like Elixir strings , they sound good but they don't really last longer than any other strings I buy because I play a lot. Some folks only play the guitar for an hour or 2 a week but if you play everyday these strings or any strings will wear out. I think £7 .00 would be a fair price for these strings.

I have a cedar topped folk guitar that has disappointed me with it's lack of "middle"; highs and lows fine, but a bit empty between. Was planning to sell it, and saw this string combo reviewed of the Taylor website (Taylor worked with elixir to develop these for smaller bodied guitars). Stuck them on, and wow, ace. Rich mid, clear highs and lows, just lovely! You won't bend them easily, but the tone is really rich. Suffice to say I have no plans now to sell the guitar. And have stuck these on another guitar too! Well done elixir! Never expected such a difference.
