Jebao #PU-11: 11w UVC Water Pond Clarifier Light Steriliser - Fish, Koi & Garden

I think this was one of the cheapest uv clarifiers I could find, a lot cheaper than some branded products available so I read the reviews carefully before committing, not wishing to waste time or money. One or two reviews spoke of very quick results, my pond took about a week to become significantly clear and even then perhaps only because I had to drain a lot of water and refill to do repairs. Since then though the water just got clearer, just got back from two weeks holiday and the bottom of the pond is as clear as day, unbelievable difference, just took a little time, well pleased.

No problem. In conjunction with Jebao pond pump, cleared water in only 3 days. If the fact that both inlet and outlet are on the same side is a problem, there is a blanked-off port on the back which can be used. Unit much cheaper than the Vorton filter.

Not very happy with this item. Plumbed it on to my pond filter wired it in only to find the uv light is not working. Checked circuit no problem found so must be faulty bulb

I bought this as my smallish pond was like pea soup. After fitting, I had to clear my filter every few days as it was catching more algie. For some reason I can't post a picture, but it worked for me. My p.o. d is about 6ft by 3ft by 1 and a half deep.

Had this to replace one I've had for 30 years cleared pond in 3 days so very happy

Was not happy with this product. UVC bulb blow after 2 days. Water was leaking into the electrics. Bad seal somewhere. Won't be buying this item again. If his had been ebay I would have demanded my money back.

This is my third clarifier and I'm completely happy with this as I can now tell easily if the bulb is working (or not) and it was a lot cheaper. The other two (different make) had safety feature to prevent the bulb being switched on outside of the housing. UV light can be dangerous but for the second you want just to check the bulb works I can't see a problem. This being 11 watts I've had bigger exposures from electric arc welders with no after affects.
