Q: whats the difference in the sidekick and the other straightening brush?

The straightener brush or 2.0 as it is called is for everyone but best for medium to long hair. The sidekick is much smaller and better for shorter hair.

Q: Can u use the sidekick like a regular brush to tame the hair that is everywhere when u get up?

No, the Sidekick is not a regular hair brush. It is not meant to detangle hair.

Q: I like to spike my hair up in the back, can the sidekick do that?

It depends on how short your hair is in the back. This is just ‘okay’ - meh... it doesn’t get that hot - it basically does a halfway decent job of smoothing. I wouldn’t purchase it again. I have only used mine a hand full of times.
