Birds like it.
Sturdy. Squirrels can reach the food but can not ruin the feeder like the did with my plastic one. Birds like it.

Small holes. Only millet fits through!
This is a very attractive bird feeder, HOWEVER, buyer beware! The holes in the mesh are very small. When I filled this feeder with a standard blend of wild bird seed, most of it would not fit through the holes. ONLY millet fits through this mesh. The sunflower seeds in shells and chopped dry corn will not fit through the holes. So one problem with this feeder is that it doesn’t have larger feeder ports cut out for the birds to access the food. I might consider trying to cut some holes in front of the perches, but this metal is strong and I doubt it can be cut.The stuck food got wet in the rain and was sticky and moldy. I rinsed it out and will try to fill it with shelled sunflower nibs to see if the birds can pull those through the mesh. I hope that will work.

Nice bird feeder
I love these bird feeders. I love the color, the way there are perches all the way around so multiple birds can be on there. They seem to be good quality and I hope they will last a long time. It took my birds a while to come to them, so be patient. My birds love it now and I enjoy watching them feed on it. BUT as far as squirrel protection-they figured out to get on there. I had to buy a cone to put on the pole and then move pole further away from the tree. So far that is working-hope it stays that way.

It's a good seed feeder but too much debris collects in the grooves

Great, but it is making it hard for my squirrels
After going through 3 different hanging bird feeders in months, I finally gave up and decided to get a metal one.My bird feeder is primarily for my squirrels, but my 3 squirrels and their visiting neighbors (total of 7-8) tend to go through wooden (sun melted the glue) and 2-lb capacity plastic ones (the plastic kept on breaking where the clear “windows” attached to the base) FAST. They - and visiting birds - go through 2 lbs of seeds in 2 days on average. Maybe 3 or 4 if there’s rain involved. This bird feeder is very nice. It’s small but expands when you lift it. Heavy and sturdy; no damage in sight after over a month outside. A lot of nuts go in - I buy whole, no waste nuts/seed mix - and it takes roughly 7-10 days to empty, which is great for my wallet! So it’s not entirely squirrel proof, but it does take them time to get the food. It’s funny watching them hang on as they try to get a hold of food. I’ve also seen my usual birds come by, but they live in surrounding yards and not mine, so they don’t eat that much. However, it means the squirrels look elsewhere for food and food storage, so they started digging in my garden again. I almost gave 4 stars for that BUT this product is listed as being squirrel proof, so though it’s not 100% effective, there is some effect on them so I can’t really fault the feeder.Overall, I am pleased with this purchase. I also bought a squirrel picnic table so they can get more food, but they go through that in half a day. My only concern is rain spoiling the nuts since the entire cage is mesh and the roof doesn’t extend far enough to make much of a difference in a storm, but it hasn’t really rained that hard since we got it, so I can’t say for sure. For the time being, I do recommend this product!

No complalints
I bought this feeder for the smaller birds that seem to be chased away by bigger birds at the platform feeders. It seemed like it took a while for the birds to find and use it, but now they are using it regularly. No big birds using it as the way it is designed they are just not able to use it comfortably. I've got plenty of squirrels that come around, but none of them have bothered this one. They just hang around on the ground below it and eat many of the seeds that fall to the ground from the feeder, which is something that birds seem to cause for some, and not any fault of the feeder itself.

Needs larger drain holes.
Nice sunflower seed feeder, but am having to drill some larger drain holes as water stands in the bottom. Could be improved with mesh bottom.
