Works perfectly to split one line into up to four lines
Works perfectly for what I needed. It split the one Ethernet line coming off my wifi extender into two lines (got a couple boxes with bad wifi receivers!). There is no in/out designations - all of the ports are two-way. So you just put the "in" line into one of the ports on the box and you have up to four "out" lines. Even though it's a 5-port, one of them is used for the "input" signal. Very small footprint and an AWESOME price! I will say, it came in a gigantic box - one 1/4 of the size would save a lot of waste!

Sadly-disappointing
Received the item today and it was defective out of the sealed packaging. The power cord won't power up the unit. I emailed the seller to see if they are willing to remedy. Will update once a response/solution us received.

Dirt cheap and does what a switch should do
Plug and play - no problems with functionality. Only with squirrels eating the ethernet cable that I ran through my attic rafters..
