When chosing a desk-chair for the home office I decided to go with a relatively speaking "high-end" choice, finally settling on this La-Z-Boy chair because it received consistently high ratings by prior buyers. Well, it's here, and WOW~! I am not disappointed~!The leather material is supple and richly textured & the cushions are perfectly comfortable. The chair feels as though it's contoured for my body {6' 1" & 330-lbs.}. But it turns out that other, smaller people get that feeling too, as my son, (who is 5'10" & 155-lbs} "fits" in this La-Z-Boy perfectly well, also.The chair has two simple levers, one on each side of the seat cushion. One is to control the hight of the chair, and the other is to control the "rocking-chair" functions. The chair is well designed in this regard, as anyone within reasonable body hight parameters is able to adjust the hight of the chair to allow themselves to sit comfortably at a desk, with hands at a correct angle to type on a keyboard. The second lever allows one to rock, or not to rock. I chose complete stationary, with zero rocking, and the chair effortlessly maintains that setting, even when my 330-lb. body tries to test the chairs durability by trying to force a rocking; but this good chair won't budge, maintaining the correct setting.Although my opinion my change, depending on how the chair holds up to the test of time, but for now I can say that I am simply delighted with my purchase~! The chair is super-comfortable and well designed. It also appears to be perfectly strong enough to stand up to its "Big & Tall" product description. If the chair fails me at a later date that is sooner than what I would figure to be reasonable, then I will adjust my review. But, for now, I have to say that amongst all the Big-&-Tall chairs out there that I had to choose from, I feel like I've found a hidden gem. I simply can't find a negtative things to say about it in this review~! I highly recommend this chair, especially for someone who's fat like me and needs a plush, comfy desk-chair that ain't wimpy~!

This chair is a big old hunk of junk. Its a giant pain to assemble (no instructions, thankfully you should be able to figure it out) and is very uncomfortable. They've also skimped on important pieces, making it feel cheap. The height adjustment lever is a piece of plastic and isn't strong enough to reliably push down the button on the top of the cylinder. The cylinder itself is incredibly cheap, but because of the plastic adjustment lever, the nice aftermarket cylinder I purchased does not work either. The "locking" mechanism to prevent the chair from leaning back is plastic and not very sturdy so the chair will not "lock" in position, instead it wobbles. The chair also has an ever so slight "tilt forward" when in an upright position and no amount of adjustment I did would get it to go away.As for "big and tall" what a joke. I'm not that tall (6'2") and with the stock wheels this chair is just barely tall enough. Its also quite snug around me. I'm a big guy...but this is definitely not "big and tall". More like "just slightly bigger than medium".The chair also came beat up in shipping, it was not well packaged inside. The box was pretty much destroyed on the outside.

I really like this chair, very comfortable and it fits me. Ive only purchased 3 or 4 chairs prior to this one and this is the most comfortable one. Easy to assemble (49 minutes unboxing and assembly going slowly and surely).A few key things to watch out for as follows-1. When installing arms to chair you need to pull the seat back forward to align the arms to seat bottom connection point (Rachet strap worked great)2. This is NOT a high back chair.3. After assembly within two minutes of testing out I rubbed the wall with the chair corner causing heavy scuff mark of seat back corner.
