Nice drive
Nice emulator drive. A few emulators hard to set up controllers but well worth price. Scanned drive with two different antivirus software and no problems, my gaming computer runs just as good as always. Was scheduled to arrive between September 30 and October 6 and arrived on the 25th.

Worked for about an hour and then died.
Worked for about an hour and then I got a message that the device malfunctioned (see image) and 5 seconds later it disappeared completely. It's still powered on with all the lights and I can hear the drive inside spinning but the external drive is no longer recognized by my PC (intermittently) no matter what I do. Tried rebooting my PC and the external drive... nothing. Swapped out the USB cable...nothing. Tried hooking it to a different Windows PC...nothing. Powered down the external drive for 30 minutes and hooked it back up...nothing. Tried hooking it to my wifes mac... nothing. Tried hooking it to a PC I have running Linux OS...still nothing. I even opened the case and reseated the drive... still nothing. I did leave it hooked to my PC all night last night and a few times it did randomly recognize and showed all my files in file explorer for about 30 seconds and then disappeared again. So very rarely it'll pop up for a few seconds and in that time I can access the files. This presents an even bigger problem because I have personal information on the drive now, from when I was setting it up. For example my Launchbox license which contains all my personal info, and my credit card info and I also linked my Steam account which has that info. So now I have to decide if I want to send it back with all my personal info on there or just eat the 120 bucks and keep a corrupt drive. If I can get it to stay connected long enough to delete that info I'll send it in for a refund.

Watch out for Trojans and Malware!!
Bought this HDD fully expecting some sort of virus or malware to be installed on it. I used an old laptop not connected to the internet to scan this HDD with multiple malware and virus scanning software. First scan with Malwarebytes found 8 Trojans associated with ransomware. Bitdefender found 3 more and 1 malware. I then scanned the drive with a few other programs and found the drive clean. Reason for giving two stars is because once cleaned the games and programs worked good.

Not thrilled
My item arrived earlier than the delivery estimate which counts for something I suppose. None of my computers recognized the device and I tried various USB fixes to no avail. I’m not the brightest Windows wizard but I would expect the drive to be detected in some capacity if it lights up once plugged in. Shame on me for buying this product, I have nobody else to blame. I don’t care if my purchase cost is refunded, let this be a marginal cautionary tale about blindly buying something recommended by a YouTube content creator.I’m willing to amend my review if it turns out I’m overlooking something.Edit: I tried out a different usb 3.0 cable and still no luck. The drive is detected for a brief time then is undetectable. I would not recommend this.

Welp…..that didn’t work
I plugged it in and it worked a total of 1 game. I booted up Soul Caliber and it worked like a charm and then it happened. My computer froze and my monitor did something I have never seen in my life. It started to dim and as I pressed CTRl ALT Del nothing responded. Reset computer and went to a Zelda switch game. It started it for five seconds then the drive became unrecognizable in any computer I put it in. It’s a shame.
