Excellent for quickly heating up a cold spot
The media could not be loaded. At night our central heating switches off mid evening and although the downstairs rooms stay warm until we go to bed I find that the bedrooms often feel chilly, especially during the recent cold spells we have had over winter. I didn't want to keep the heating on for longer just to warm up the main bedroom so I thought I would try this convector heater to give it a quick heat up before I go to bed.I'm really pleased to report that this heater works brilliantly. I switch it on literally just 15 minutes before I want to go to bed. I can feel the heat come out of the top grill area almost immediately and within a few minutes it is pouring out heat. 15 minutes later my bedroom has been warm and toasty and I just switch it off as I don't want the room hot all night.I have also used this to heat the lounge when we had a problem with our boiler a month ago and had to switch the central heating system off while the plumber fixed things. It had no problems keeping a 20 foot by 12 foot room very warm. When it arrives you can take it straight out of the box, plug it in and begin to use it; there is nothing to assemble. There is a dial on the side where you can regulate the temperature. The heat comes out of the grill at top / front area.It is well made; the main body is made from metal and is lightweight - probably aluminium. I haven't knocked anything against mine but it does feel like it would dent if given a hefty bash. There are two carry handles, one on either side. These remain cool even when the heater is in use which means it is easy to pick up and move. The whole unit is not too large - much smaller in size than a standard radiator and not a great deal thicker so it can easily be stored almost flush against a wall (not quite flush as the two legs protrude slightly out in front and behind)When you plug this heater in there is a very slight buzzing noise - I was surprised how quiet it was as the only convector heaters I have used in the past have been those fan heaters you place on the floor. The heat starts to come out instantly but you do need to be careful as the metal, especially around the grill area becomes very hot to the touch - not enough to cause a bad burn but enough to make you jump. I certainly wouldn't want to let a child too close to it.If you are looking for a supplementary heating source over and above your central heating then this is ideal. I have been pleased that I purchased it and have used it on many nights over the winter period.

Well probably a fair deal for the price.
It was highly rated however the stand don't fit properly they keep coming of even when they are slightly moved it's kind of annoying but can be dealt with. It keep you very warm and heats up real fast and the heat stays in for long however it does smell like something is burning and it is slightly noisy but then again you get used to the noise. I never leave it on for too long or fall asleep having it switched on coz it scares me to have something that heats up so much and smells like it is burning unattended. Also it does dehydrate you alot which I don't think is very good. But it heats up well and fast!

Perfect small heater
i bought this heater after reading a couple of the reviews and after looking at others. i felt this one was within my budget and small enough to move about the house should i need to and so on. i live in a 1700th century building (pub) and the heating is very inconsistant as its is only on during the opening times of the pub which can be a pain because the rooms are insanely good at keeping the heat in during the summer but also cold as chuff in the winter.also due to it being a listed building we cant change the windows so they allow for most of the cold weather to invade into the house.upon opening the package i thought the heater looked a little dissapointing and a cheap build however after a week of having the beauty i cant be happier with it. its almost deaftly silent (it occassionally clicks asthough its waking up if it feels the room tempreture has dropped a degree) and once its turned up to full (6 on the dial) give the room 10 minutes and its like an oven. very lightweight so moving the heater isnt a problem and its as simply as plug in and boom no more winter colds :)

Good heating solution at a very good price
I bought this for my wife`s study last autumn, a long narrow room which has only one radiator and is above the garage, and is also totally sheltered from all but the evening sunshine! And she feels the cold too; even I had to admit that it would have meant working in fingerless gloves most of the time. This is very easy to set up, and can be wall mounted or you can attach the feet. Either way, it`s not an obstacle that needs to be negotiated, even in a narrow room - not even a foot in width and two feet in length. The flex is about three feet which gives you some room for manoeuvre in terms of where you put it (although another foot or two of cable would be good). The important part is the heat output - and I was surprised by how effective it is. If you set it via one of those plug-timers (as it doesn`t have a thermostat or timer of it`s own - more expensive models have, I`m sure), the room is hot (not warm, hot!) in a few minutes. I haven`t noticed any discernable damage to the electric bills either and it was running quite a bit over the very cold winter! It didn`t let us down at all, despite heavy use, and I wouldn`t hesitate in buying another if necessary (for another room I mean - I don`t expect it to be because this has stopped working)!

Haven't had them yet!
I'm probably being a bit unfair giving this product one star as the problem is that I haven't had them yet. They were supposed to arrive no later than two days ago and as they were sent via Royal Mail there is no tracking information. I have contacted the seller who sent me an e-mail asking me to telephone them but every time I do the phone is engaged. They have a 'free call' service on their website where you put your number in and it calls you. It does work - it does ring you but then their end is just engaged again! I have e-mailed them my phone number and had an e-mail back saying they will attempt to call me today in office hours but so far I haven't heard from them - it is only 12.35pm though so they've got a bit of time yet. So, hopefully they will call and I will find out where my heaters are before my kids nag me to death about being cold in their rooms!
