Wonderful
This is so amazing. The details are incredible. Happy there is Christian comics. This book made into a comic is great for teens and anyone who loves comics. Teaches how to live as a Christian walking the narrow path. Definitely worth it.

Fun
Fun introduction to Pilgrim's progress. My kids really enjoy these. The binding isn't the best so they're kind of thrashed. But now they really want to read the actual pilgrims progress book!

Good story, slightly questionable art....
While the storyline is timeless and worth the venture, especially for younger Christians, the art was a bit questionable at times. Namely the pentagram Holy Angels were supposed to be coming from, and the fact that at least one of the angels looked like a fairy creature. What's up with that? Why use questionable symbolism's at all? There were a few other things as well...Still, overall the message was very good, and the book was worth the read. It gives us an allegorical view of what the journey to becoming a Christian is like, and then also what it is like to fight the good fight of faith as a Christian (this mostly covered in book 2).

Pretty good adaptation of the book
Pretty good adaptation of the book, but be forewarned, it's not appropriate for younger kids. Some illustrations are rather dark. Overall a good book, my young teen loves it.

Beautiful, vivid graphic novel version, sticks pretty close to original narrative
Having read Pilgrim's Progress in the original language and in modern language, I definitely appreciate this graphic novel version. It has vivid colors and is a high quality graphic novel. The interpretation of some parts is astounding - for example, Christian's burden is like a bundle/backpack, but the "straps" are skeletal showing how the burden is heavy as death to him.Although the graphic novel form is no substitute for the full text version, I appreciate the details in this book and the characterizations.Another reviewer said that Apollyon was portrayed as a woman, so that made me nervous for the sincerity of the story's portrayal. However, Apollyon is clearly NOT portrayed as a woman (see photo), but at one point seems to take the form of a seductress to tempt Christian to remain in the world.Although there are a few licenses taken (some characters are portrayed as women rather than men, like Help), the meaning of the allegory is clear and the graphics are breathtaking.I would definitely buy this as a gift for someone interested in Christian living who also has a penchant for graphic novels.

Great idea!
I am new to graphic novels, and I think they are great! I think that the illustrators did a great job bringing Bunyan's story to life, and I thoroughly enjoyed both volumes.

Good but too dark
Most of the book was great but especially near the end it was a little too dark with too many scary pictures.
