Works with Mac Mini Intel Chip.
I bought a more expensive model that had an active fan to cool my Mac Mini but the fan stopped working. If you own a Mac Mini you know how warm they can be and really needs an active cooling mechanism to keep it cool. I did not want to pay over $100 for a replacement so opted for this unit. It provides a passive cooling by convection and works perfectly. Consequently the cost is much less that the active units. It does have the same number of ports including an SD card reader. I can't be more pleased and I don't have to worry about the fan not working. It fits my Mac Mini with an Intel Chip perfectly.

the cable is actually included
This product is great. I was initially annoyed that a cable connecting the hub to my Mac Mini was not included. Months later I bought a SAT drive and when I installed it I discovered the cable tucked away in the hub where the drivew goes. Doh!

You can't install taller drives into the device.
I love it except I didn't realize it couldn't fit a 5 TB drive. It has to be 9mm or less in height I think. A 5 TB is 15mm so it was to high. I have to return the drive and put a 512 GB drive in :( Otherwise, I love having these new options. I'll probably make the drive in the device a boot drive because the 256 GB internal drive makes an awful boot drive.

No Reliable, Poor customer service.
Stopped working at 33 days. Contacted customer service at about 60 or so days because I hadn't realized it stopped working. Got no response even to tell me it was out of warranty. Be aware you are on your own with thic company.

Solves the Expansion Issue Easily
Simple to install on my M1 Mac Mini, added a 1TB Crucial SSD and was up and running in 6 minutes. Attractive to see under the Mini, looks and works just as expected. Extra USB ports handy and easy to access. Very happy.

Nice design but too many disconnects, corrupted external drive
Cons: This had too many kernel panics and drive disconnects which lead to an external drive getting corrupted. Fortunately, I had redundancy for the data. I had also bought an expensive replacement cable, other reviews mention this helps, but this proved not to help in my case. Well out of the return window. The mini slides around on it. It needs a grippier rubber ring or feet to stabilize the mini on it.Pros: The design of the unit is nice. Having ports at the front of the mini is useful.

Does its job, but a bit slow
Trying to save a few bucks, I went with this over a better name brand. It was a mistake. This unit does its job ok, but it is not very fast. The SD card reader is especially slow, maxing out at around 20 MB/s, whereas a better one can transfer closer to 80 MB/s. It's so slow, I thought maybe my SD card was messed up. Upon getting a higher quality USB hub, I realized this USB hub was the problem. For folks concerned with speed, I can't recommend it as long as there are so many other better options in the market. If you're simply looking to get some USB ports, it does do that at the bare minimum.
