Perfect for collecting garden detritus.
Simple to use for clearing even the smallest leaves from raised architectural beds. Makes this chore an easy task. The garden looks well tended and a pleasure to be in.Great product, good value. The jaws are well designed and gently grip very small items. My knees really appreciate this purchase.

Extendable?
Works fine, light is a nice touch and magnetic tip is useful. Can't quite work out how it is extendable?

Good little gadget
I use this to pick up all the recycling that ends up in our driveway after the recycling guys have been each week. It’s great. The light is tiny and I’ve not needed it yet. The magnet would probably pick up a pin or a very small nail. With heavier objects the whole thing folds up like it wants to be packed away. It doesn’t enjoy heavy things like my husbands boots sadly, no one wants to touch them not even my husband; which is why they are always left right inside the front door and never put away in the shoe cupboard -so it’s not good for that job. The gadget is great for recycling and general rubbish tho’ no problem.

Upgraded Grabber E-Z Use for my TORN ROTATOR Cuffs RIGHT OUT OF THE BO!!!
This Upgraded Grabber worked as described thus far ( I have only had it for a few days.)I am 5'1" tall with damaged shoulder joints and EVERYTHING is far out of my normal reach all of the time. The locking joint on this grabber swung up and locked right away, the gripper jaws functioned just right and I could grab lightweight items that were over my head. The included instructions include the weight recommendations as the warning to exceed them which I appreciated as so many items come without the instructions.I purchased a longer Grabber that was supposed to be better with a longer reach. Unfortunately, the join failed to lock and I never received a replacement or a refund.I hope to check this manufacturer out to see if they have a longer-reach one.DEFINATELY BUY ONE or TWO! lolThe price point is very economical and I plan to buy more for other parts of my home. They would also make helpful economical gifts and your receivers will truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. as well. I will return to provide an update regarding the longevity of this item.Best of Wishes!

Reacher/grabbers are destined to fail all too soon and there is seldom a way to repair them!
I will list the dislikes, as they are ultimately what makes these items useless in short order. 1) Most of the grabbers I have purchased over about 2 decades (from numerous sites) become useless because the cable will rub against something inside the tube, shredding and then breaking, almost always at the at the far end of the tube, but sometimes at the near end. I have never been able to add a new cable, as there is never a way to open the tube or gripping areas to put new cable in place. 2) This grabber had a large hook on one side of the closable arms. That hook could be turned only facing the left or in a downward position, the latter making it difficult to pick things up with the arms perpendicular to the floor. It's large size caused it to constantly catch on unintended items. If it could have been rotated to the top, it would have caught on fewer things. 3) This grabber folded in the middle and rotated to 3 positions, I think. If it was in one of those position, with the open area on the top or the bottom, it would not always stay locked. This would cause it to abruptly fold in half, usually causing the item in the arms to drop as the cable shortened or lengthened. 4) When I received this item, I was happy to see it appeared to have more weight to it, and I hoped it would be a longer lasting tool. The metal in the tube was thicker and the woven cable was a little thicker - not that made a positive difference. 5) I found the handle somewhat uncomfortable to use for more than 5 or so minutes because of its shape, width, and the amount of squeezing it took to close the arms. 6) Finally, as with almost all of the grabbers I have purchased, the cups or the inside of the arms are are generally slippery, making it especially difficult to maintain their grip. I have a box of about 25 of these tools, one of which broke the second day I had it. It seems to me that no one has taken a genuine interest in making a sturdy tool for seniors and handicapped people. Instead of the cable being completely enclosed in plastic, it would be so much better to have a way to access the attachment sites of the cables. As for the slipperyness of the business ends, that is probably a no brainer to fix. One final thing that bothers me is that in spite of there being a few different lengths of grabbers, there are very few suitable to a female’s arm length. Most of those longer than 24” are 32” and longer. I need a grabber no longer than 28-30". When using my right hand to hold the 32” size most commonly available, it is almost impossible to retrieve an item from the arms with my left hand. It often falls back in the floor as I try to get it into my hand! If anyone out there anywhere knows of a reliable grabber, please leave a comment for me after you get to the end of this review, and thank you.
