Great soil amendment for drainage
I searched my local garden centers for small pumice rocks without success. Of course, Amazon had many options. I chose this particular one because it appeared, based on reviews, to have a good range of rock sizes up to about a quarter inch. The box of rocks that arrived are perfect for my needs. I've become a house plant enthusiast and needed to create a potting mix that drained better. Perlite is a great addition for drainage but tends to float to the surface of the soil after a few waterings and isn't as effective over time. The pumice doesn't float and also offers better soil structure. I also used these as a soil cover for my desert rose plant. I'm very pleased with this purchase and will buy this product again when I need more.

Unsure why all the negative reviews. Buy it and try it!
I'm not sure if the negative reviews are just from picky people but this pumice arrived and I held my breath opening the box. Yes it's different sizes, it's also quite cheap for the amount you get. I use as a soil amendment for my plants that like to dry out quicker. It's been perfect and exactly what I was hoping for. I will be using this in place of perlite for every plant I have to repot this year. Might even have to repot a couple that are doing alright but need better drainage. I can't stand perlite - the dust and how it always seems to rise to the top of the pot were getting on my nerves. I'll be ordering this pumice again soon and never going back to the crunchy stuff.

Not Like The Picture...but usable for my needs
I ordered this in spite of the many negative reviews it had. Figured I would return it at no cost to me if it was as bad as some said. Only about ONE CUP out of the entire bag of it actually looks (size-wise) like the picture in the ad listing. The rest is MUCH smaller... almost like large grains of sand. I didn't get a lot of "dust" that people complain about. But I used it in a cacti soil recipe do it worked good to help the soil drain well. Don't buy it if you want to use it as decorative top dressing in your pots. They offer some other bagged pumice that is apparently sifted to give you consistent, larger pieces. Depends on how you're going to use the products.

Good, for the price I'd expect better sifted
I always buy this brand. With the recent price spike (a big one at that) I'd expect them to sift out the larger pumice or something. Same thing. It's good, but for the price... ugh. I might just go back to perlite or add a rock/sand mix to stretch it out.

I like the big chunks
I like the big chunks but honestly there wasn’t enough of it. I used it under my passion fruit vines and under my dragon fruit plants. Both of which needed lots of ample drainage. Works great for that and it doesn’t float to the surface like perlite does when you water. I will look for this product in bulk next time though. Package just wasn’t enough for more than two plants.

Chunky
I read the reviews and figured if I got a bag with alot of finer pieces of pumice, I could still use it for cuttings and seeds- However I was happy to get a bag with lots of 3/8” and 1/4” chunks and very little dust though I am only halfway through the bag. Some of my rootless Lithops sent out roots in a week with this stuff. I tried to get another bag but now it’s a month for delivery so I ordered another brand.

excellent size, minimal fines, max 10%?
Large amount of product for a good price. Very minimal fines. Purchase six times over 1.5 years and all the bags were fairly consistent. I would definitely buy again and would definitely recommend. LOL I'll be placing another order in about 2 months. Thank you for an excellent product.

Coarse perlite might be better
So, for $22 you have to buy a strainer not only to wash the loads of filthy dust off but make sure the sifter has holes the size of what you want/expected the size of pumice to be!! My neighbors probably thought I was bats—t crazy!! I’m in my yard with the strainer, bucket of water and sifting…I looked like a gold miner!! I have tons of tiny stones flying out of holes because so much of the pumice you receive is the same exact size as big store perlite!! I’m thinking after all that work (labor) I ended up with 1/3 of the amount of pumice that’s 1/4”. I understand some will be smaller or bigger but the ‘smaller’ bits; insane amount!!! I’m not ordering again! If you’re in a budget, go with Coarse perlite instead of this!! - this brand anyway-
