Edge for 08 ford f150 UPDATE!!
This thing is awesome!! My wife bought for me as Christmas gift and it hasn't disappointed me yet. I ran the three power levels and I was amazed. On the level three it felt like I had done some major add ons to my truck, there was an instant notice of power, torque and shifting firmness. Power level two is basically for mid grade gas and towing. I run this level the most because of the smoother shifting and fuel economy. Level one is just for basic grade gas and just smoothes out the jerky shift points it seems that all fords are plagued with (at least all the ones I've owned). The plus is you can customize each level with a variety of "tuning" options. You can tweak all areas of your vehicle from turning off you speed limiter to setting your own red line for rpm's. The colors on the screen can be set to almost any interior color you want, this is great if you have custom pannel lights. Mounting was a snap, it took me about ten minutes to install without tools!!! The finish product was clean looking and blended in perfectly. The kit I recieved had the dash pod included so there was no need to buy one. The only problem I had was the fuse for my cigarette lighter was blown and that is also the fuse that runs power to the obd. If you're looking into getting one, do it! It's a great easy add on that can be adjusted to your driving style with a little trial and error.UPDATE!!!:After owning this little gem for over a year I am still impressed with it. I did however order a "tune" from power hungry performance online for around 40 bucks. If you own one of these or are thinking about getting one, check them out. I bought the towing upgrade and what a world of difference it made. We ran to Texas and back through Louisiana and Mississippi with no problems. My truck is a super cab with 6' bed so it's a short truck compared to others that normaly tow campers. This thing woke my 5.4 up, but the online tune really kicked it into gear. Hope this info helps anybody looking for one of these.

Improved shifting and torque
I'm the original owner of a F150 4x4 Lariat. I wish I had purchased the Edge thirteen years ago. The Lariat comes with bigger tires than the standard F150, so I've always been suspect of the shifting. It feels odd at times. The Edge greatly improved the shifting after I put in the exact tire size. It is noticeable. The engine is also more responsive along with improved torque. I only used the default setting, but I'm obviously impressed. The truck's performance has improved so dramatically that I'm not sure I'll ever use the "performance" setting. The install is simple and well explained with the instructions. The included dash mount needed slight modification as the right side edge was too long forcing the device sit at an angle. I used a grinder to gently take the entire edge length down about a 1/4 of an inch. Otherwise, it is a simple install and looks great.

Worth evey cent!
I bought this for my 04 F150. I spent about a year considering it before I finally broke down and bought it. I just wasn't sure that the benefits would be worth the cost.It takes 5 minutes to install. Plug in the wire and follow some simple instructions. The dash pod is included and fits like it came from he factory. I've had people look at it and wonder when Ford starting installing them at the factory- it looks that good.I have over sized tires and my speedometer was off. It also makes the shift points off, which was affecting my mileage. Setting the correct tire size requires some math, or the use of the internet, to convert the size into the circumference in millimeters. Google tire size in millimeters and there's a program that allows you to enter your tire size and it tells you what to enter. That program alone made this worth the price. This gives you the ability to set up in three modes out of the box, or you can program any of the parameters yourself. I put it in performance mode and can easily spin the tires on dry pavement. That mode didn't last long. In towing mode I get the best mileage. The power is still there (way more than stock) and I get close to two MPG improvement. I also have the instant MPG set on the screen, and it has an effect on my driving habits. When I hit the gas and see it at 2 MPG, I tend to lighten up. Mush of my improvement may have come from that, but it works for me.Overall I could not be happier. I tell everyone that has an F150 they need one. My only regret is I waited so long to buy one. Don't wait- get one!

Worth every penny just for the trans-tune fix
First Off, Thank-you Edge Products, You Have Alleviated my Transmission Woes.I have been after my transmission for some time now to sharpen up the horrible lag when shifting down from overdrive to either pass or accelerate. It was sooooo slow to shift from OD to 3rd or second almost like it was bogging, and also seemed to have a bit of a clunk or harsh shift after letting off and going back into 3rd and 4th(OD). I have been into my 4r75e twice now, valvebody off both times and installed the superior trans products 'super tuff' plate, replaced all 8 check balls, installed the superior K073 extended length pressure regulator, replaced the main and OD boost valves and of course new filter and Mercon V. All that did almost nothing (other than making me happy i got to it before it became real bad) compared to this programmer. After applying just the trans tune and going for a nice rip i could not believe the difference in shift quality and that ridiculous 4-3 or 4-2 downshift lag was GONE. The truck shifts amazing now. After this i applied the Extreme Performance Tune and it really woke the truck up. I seriously cant make this **** up, the truck actually feels like it has its rated 300hp now and it breaks the tires loose no problem from a stand still. Worth, Every PennyA word of Caution, if you are going to install this programmer, be sure your truck is up to snuff mechanically first. I replaced the engine in this truck (it was blown) with a good used one and before anything i replaced all the timing components, the oil pump with the melling m340HV, all fluids, new plugs etc, etc. As mentioned before i got into the transmission and did all the common updates and yes the stock separator plate was cracked where the 2-3 accumulator rests. I also replaced all the oils in t-case, front and rear diffs, and i checked every component of the drivetrain and suspension to make sure it was in good shape. If your truck is a rattle trap and has black transmission oil that you have not changed in 100,000km this is probably not for you.The unit is easy to install, you may have to finesse the left side dash cover a bit to get it off, i used a pick to release the clips. Then simply run the wire, install the sticky angle bracket, and wiggle the boot and unit in. You do have to push fairly firmly on the housing to get it into place in the dash. Make sure your ignition key is on the first time you plug it in so it can read the pcm.I have never seen a programmer fix a transmission before, but this did the trick. O yes and i should mention i have never had the pcm updated at the dealer, maybe that would have helped as well, im not sure if the previous owner ever did, never the less, this programmer saved me from ripping this trans apart again and likely a couple of g's as well.

Looks great.
Looks great in the truck, didn't even use tape and bracket and it stays put. Running level 2 Towing and slight increase in torque. Mpg highly doubt it. $450 to change my tire size? It's alright.. don't think this is going to transform your truck into something new.
