Easy and convenient!!
LOVE these brushes!! Fill with water and you’re good to paint on the go! They come to a teeny tiny tapered point, which is so nice! You get thick and thin lines wherever you need them! And very easy to clean since the water pushes the paint right out of the bristles! They stay very nice! And a little water goes a very long way, so you don’t even have to refill very often! Comfortable to hold, super easy to use and clean, very convenient and mess free!! Highly, highly recommend!!!

Easy to use no leaking
Love these use them quite a bit. I wish they would come out with a wide range of tips because they are easy to squeeze but don’t leak and it’s easy to adjust the amount of water needed as you go.

Good water brushes:)
I like both of these a lot. Love the ultra fine points. Great for fine details. Water is a bit hard to control but that comes with water brushes as a feature.

Large water reservoirs
I switch between these water brushes and regular water color brushes. These water brushes by Pentel are the best that I have come across.

Nice, but still a little disappointed - three and a haf stars.
I had heard great things about these waterbrushes,so wanted to try them even though I was happy with the ones I had.As of this writing I have used only the medium, so might update this review after more use.But would give the Pentel 3 and a half stars now.I have only tried two brands of waterbrush so far. These Pentels and the Niji Yasutomo (or Yasutomo Niji?)Both are comparable in price depending on the deal you get. Both were purchased from Amazon.Between the two, looking at: Water Flow Control (How easily one can control water when painting) Longevity of Water in the Brush (How long between having to add water to the brush) Tips (The quality, point, springiness, etc.) Feel in the Hand (Just the aesthetic of how it feels in the hand)SO FAR, I like the Niji ones better. The main reason is the control of water flow.Water FlowThe Pentel seems always to have at least a slow drip going. You can learn tricks for control, like holding it from the hard part and not the tube, wiping off excess water from the top of the brush before touching the paper, keeping your paint less wet, adjusting the speed from paint to paper, and etc. Many reviewers say they love it once they get the hang of it.But why bother with having to make all those adjustmentswhen the Nijis give you great control over water flow from the start?Water LongevityThe Nijis are more convenience for plein air, because you don't need to refill as often. With better control, the water lasts longer. In fact, the water seems to last longer with even the mini waterbrush from Niji than with Pentel.Neither will spill as long as you have a cap, but if your cap were missing, the Nijis would also be safer. In fact the Niji's would probably be safe to carry in two pieces, though i have not tried that.TipsBoth brands have nice tips, with good point and spring.Feel in the HandWithin the Niji, I like the feel of the mini in my hand a bit more than the full size ones, even though the normal size holds more water. The tips are interchangeable, so you can use whichever handle you like. They both feel fine, I am just slightly partial to the mini.I do like the feel of the Pentel in the hand, just as much as the full size Niji brushes ,but for the personal aesthetic of how it feels in my hand, my favorite is the Niji mini. Some people think that that extra little plug inside the Niji is a pain, and it is true that you don't want to lose it.But I find it useful and will probably be switching back to using mostly Niji long before these two Pentels wear out.Just one person's opinion. But for my money, I prefer the Nijis.
