This item is packaged specifically for using as a key fob, but can be used with any item requiring a like sized coin battery.I recommend writing the date, using a Sharpie, on the battery when you install it so you can determine if it lasted a reasonable amount of time. If it does not last, you can then shop other brands.

I got a warning in my car that my remote battery was dying and needed to be replaced. I didn't want to take it to the dealer so this was just easier and much cheaper. Works well! Great alternative to an expensive dealer visit.

For what you get it's definitely expensive. Pretty sure the batteries are normally like $3-4, so you're paying a premium, but you get a plastic tool to pop off the back of the key without damaging it the plastic, a set of screwdrivers, one of which is the perfect size to remove the battery itself (I'm guessing the other is for a different model of key fob). Whole process took like 30 seconds, if you want something easy and are willing to spend a couple more bucks I think it's great.

A member of the family owns an older GTI and i got complaints that the fob works intermittently. Knowing the issue from my other cars, I recommended swapping the fob battery. At the end of that short discussion, I ended up being the one who will order and install the new battery.Facing that task, and not doing it before, I was looking for a turn-key solution. With my other fobs I have small screwdrivers, which fit some, but other cars in the family.It was so nice to see that someone offers a complete solution. All tools and two batteries included. It is a premium you pay if you already have all the tools and have done it before, but for me the premium was well worth it.I tested the batteries, and indeed they have full charge and have the years before expiree. The actual swap was painless and lasted less than 5 minutes.

So I just needed a CR2025 battery for a remote control unit for a sports camera. In addition to providing 2 separate batteries, this also includes a tiny Phillips and flat screwdriver to assist you opening whatever device you are replacing the battery in. This may come in very handy.The batteries seems to have a use by date about 5 years from now and they worked as expected in my sports camera remote.

I received the batteries that I needed for my key fobs and was pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of a tiny phillips head screwdriver, a tiny flat head screwdriver, and a plastic separator to make my battery replacement job easier. The batteries work as I expected, and superseded my expectations with the included tools!

If you only have 2 vehicles and not planning on replacing the batteries anytime soon or they run out soon, then this would work but if you have more than 2 vehicles or can use the batteries on other equipment then you may want to research other options which include more batteries for better price.
