Four CD box set anthology by legendary guitarist, composer and instrumentalist Anthony Phillips. Anthony was a founding member of Genesis alongside Peter Gabriel, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks with whom he recorded the albums From Genesis To Revelation and Trespass. After leaving the group in 1970, Anthony studied orchestration and harmony externally at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. After passing his LGSM exams, he taught music at Reeds School and Peper Harrow whilst continuing to compose and record in his home studio. Now, Anthony Phillips and Jonathan Dann have compiled this deluxe set, which gathers together Volumes IX to XI of the Private Parts & Pieces albums, Dragonfly Dreams, Soiree and City of Dreams, along with an additional 18-track CD of previously unreleased material, Private Parts and Extra Pieces III, featuring recordings made between 1991 and 2012. Private Parts & Pieces IX - XI is the definitive statement on these classic albums. The set includes a lavish booklet with an essay by Jonathan Dann and fully restores the artwork of the original releases.

I am a writer and this CD is great for filling the background with music that allows me to think and inspires me to keep writing. Loved King on the Mountains and all the tracks but this turned out to be the shortened version and the original is $80 - I saw the price difference but didn't realize the reason so I regret not getting the full length version Otherwise it has been a great experience!!!!

Another gem by Anthony Phillips. I highly recommend all of the "Private parts and Pieces" albums, specially numbers 1-3, 6, 9-11, they showcase Phillips's skills as both composer and instrumentist.

I do really like this offering by Anthony Phillips ... ambient and pleasing ... I like so many albums by Anthony Phillips but this is one I come back to many, many times ... so soothing and melodic ... if you are a fan of Ant, this one will not disappoint ...

Excellent Quality Box Set
A 4 disc set containing Volumes IX to XI of Private Parts & Pieces albums namely Dragonfly Dreams, Soiree and City of Dreams with original artwork plus an additional 18-track CD of previously unreleased material (titled Private Parts and Extra Pieces III) containing recordings made between 1991 and 2012. The set also includes a booklet containing individual track history details and photos. A great value quality package that contains 87 tracks. I have enjoyed listening to the many music themes and moods which easily hold your interest. The unreleased tracks are not 'fillers' and stand up well against the previously released album tracks. This set contains some real gems. Anthony is a very talented and experienced musician and composer. Highly recommended.

BOX第三段このシリーズお得では有りますが、さすがに少し食傷気味になり習作感半端ないです。何回も聞きこまないと良さはわからないですね。ＣＤ4未発表音源目当てでファンであれば買いなのかな？

Richtig toll die Musik man hat wirklich das Gefühl man fährt durch eine geheimnisvolle Großstadt. Anthony Phillips ist ja auch bekannt durch Genesis.Aber solo sehr gut finde Ich.
