Humane Deer Repellant WORKS GREAT!
I normally don’t do reviews. I’m doing this one! I needed a “humane” deer repellant. I planted some rose bushes and hosta plants. The deer ate the rose buds and the hosta plants. I was REALLY upset. When this product arrived, I was immediately struck by the solid construction of the parts. Nothing cheap; everything very solid. Easy assembly instructions. The bottom line is; they WORK! I see it working every day !! Roses are growing back. I’m very happy with the results!!

After trying everything else, this actually works!!!
The media could not be loaded. The answer I needed! My wife loves to plant flowers in the backyard but it's been an ongoing struggle to keep the frustrating (but beautiful) deer from eating them. We have tried noisemakers, sonar devices with lights, flashing red demon eyes, and even a device that makes gunshot and barking dog noises which the deer particularly loved as they would walk up to it and lick it as it was going off! The motion detected sprinkler finally solved the problem. A little expensive but well worth it! It took a little effort to get it set correctly and I wish it had a sensitivity adjustment as it does trigger too easily with very little wind, but our flowers are now safe! Highly recommended to anyone with pesky deer. I do feel bad scaring them....especially the babies, but my wife is happy and that is worth more than anything!

Liked our 1st one so much that we got a 2nd one for more coverage! Great customer service!
We live in a rural setting w/ a large 1260 ft garden & have problems every year with wildlife getting into it & eating up all our hard work. We have deer, groundhogs, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, possum, & gophers that like to break in & munch on everything. We were losing entire harvests of some items, losing hundreds of $ in food. We started out w/ 6 ft deer fencing- great for the deer for most of the season for the most part (they would stalk it & some would still jump it towards the end of the season) but everything else could immediately chew easily through. So we added 3 ft chicken wire around it as well- great for the rabbits, but everything else could still find a way in. So we added re-bar through the chicken wire all around the border to help keep the more stubborn animals from prying it up and/or bending it over & still chewing through the deer fencing- worked for most of the rest of the animals EXCEPT for the stubborn groundhogs- they would stalk & test the fence every single day, pulling & prying at it & digging to find spaces between the rebar & eventually would always find at least one way in, if not several. And of course in the meantime the gophers could easily dig under regardless. So we got sonic gopher spikes. Seemed to help somewhat for them, but not completely. SO that's when we finally invested in one of these to add to the arsenal. This works like a charm on deer! If they even get close to the fencing, they get sprayed. After getting sprayed a few times, they recognize the sound of the mechanism/trigger, & that alone will spook them before the spray even starts. And then they end up remembering & actually avoiding the trigger areas altogether- we've had ZERO problem with deer since purchasing this. The motion sensor has a harder time 'seeing' the shorter animals as far away as taller animals, so it takes some time & adjustment to find the right height & distance combo coverage when you are trying to protect the area from multiple types of animals of varying size, which just takes some patience- we love how highly adjustable the product is, you just have to find your personal sweet spot for it. Since our garden is large & rectangle, we decided to get a 2nd one for more thorough coverage of both far sides. We're glad we did! While we still have issues w/ groundhogs sometimes-- they are by far the most stubborn animal, & being low to the ground, at peak season when garden foliage is nice & full, it is easier for them to evade detection by the motion sensor, plus they don't 'learn' not to come back later after being sprayed like the deer do, so they'll get sprayed, run away, then come back a few hours later sometimes-- but these sprayers still have helped IMMENSELY. Most years we have been able to pull in around $2000 worth of fruits & vegetables, when we were losing up to around 1/3 of that before adding these sprayers to our arsenal. They are very motion sensitive, so it takes some adjusting to find your right level of sensitivity for them, & we found that on a very windy day we need to just turn them off or they go off constantly regardless, but it has been something that we've just learned to become mindful of, & the benefit of having them far outweighs any negatives. We also love the 30 minute watering cycle option during dry spells during the heat of summer. Very convenient, as I was spending hours out there watering before we had them! I also appreciate the height & distance adjustments to really customize it to fit the area you need it for. Customer service is also great! We had a problem with some gaskets on our first one breaking while still inside the warranty, & they sent us another one with no hassles. All in all, highly recommend this product! The only improvement I could think of would be to offer an even taller model to improve it's 'sight' coverage, since gardens have varying heights & rows of vegetation necessary to 'see' over top of in order to protect. But otherwise, no complaints!

This Product Does Not Work Against Rabbits
After exploring and attempting other unsuccessful stratagems, I purchased this device with the sole intent of it deterring and repelling rabbits from dining on my lawn. Thus, my one star review is predicated, in the main, on the Garden Enforcer failing to perform this task. In my view, there are several factors with this unit that appear to lend to its ineffectiveness against rabbits:1. The motion activated sensor is not attuned/designed to recognize the smallness nor quickness of rabbits. It appears to be effective against humans, dogs and (presumably) deer, but, unfortunately, not rabbits. Various sensor adjustments, equipment locations, configurations and placements were to no avail.2. The tripod configuration of the unit itself appears to be a hindrance to rabbit deterrence. The unit cannot be lowered enough via the tripod adjustment mechanism for the motion sensors to detect rabbits even though the sensor itself, to a degree, can be adjusted vertically.3. The Garden Enforcer's hose connection has an inherent design flaw. The hose connection descends vertically from the center of the unit to a terminus that is equidistant from the three legs of the tripod and that is only marginally situated above the base of the tripod at its most retracted setting. Attaching a hose to the connection effectively renders the lowest tripod setting to be ineffective as it does not account for the hose itself, i.e., the hose, when connected, is actually below the lowest tripod setting making the hose the fulcrum rather than the tripod. A better design would be to have the hose connection nearer to the top of the tripod so that the unit itself could be fully lowered so that the sensor could be more effective against smaller animals such as rabbits.4. The unit has four operating modes: Off, Day, Night and Always. Since rabbits are primarily dawn and dusk diners, none of these settings ideally serves the purpose of deterring rabbits. As a result, I was compelled to set the unit on the Always setting. Until we adapted to its presence, during the day, the Always setting gave me and my dog a reminder of its existence! A far better solution would be to integrate a digital timer with this device so that on/off settings can be truly programmable, making the Garden Enforcer a more flexible tool. Orbit, itself, makes these very timers. I have one that works quite well.Aside from its inability to deter rabbits (and I suspect animals of similar size such as cats), the Garden Enforcer appears to be well constructed. The tripods are of metal construction and the plastic components appear to be durable. The sprinkler mechanism also works fine and can be adjusted for distance, radius and duration. The instructions were clear and It was easy to set up.A note about Orbit's customer service. Seeking advice on rabbit deterrence, I talked to two separate customer service representatives on separate days. Neither of the reps appeared to be at all knowledgeable about or familiar with the Garden Enforcer. In fact, one sent me a pdf of user instructions for the wrong product. Finally, in frustration, I was able to speak with a supervisor who was more familiar with the product, secured some technical input while I was put on hold and provided me with some suggestions to improve the unit's effectiveness against rabbits. Alas. all to no avail. So, if it's rabbits you seek to repel, this is not the product for it. For humans, dogs and, I suspect, deer, it will likely be more effective.

Really works!
I read all the reviews and decided to find out for myself. We bought two and have each facing inward on a large berm of newly planted pollinators. Easy set up, easy to adjust the spray range. From the first night we can see deer tracks right up to the berm, and no further - the sprinklers do their job! The only plants that were nibbled on were on one end one night that we forgot to turn that end on. Further proof they work. We plan to get more for our front yard - because we like flowers as much as the deer do!
