Durable, stylish and affordable case
I must have ordered the last one available for the newly released Fire HD 6 because it now says won't be available until October 30, for those wondering how I have it.Since I bought the case mainly to protect the tablet, and not use it as a stand, I don't like how the front cover half folds in order to accommodate the stand. It makes it feel flimsy while opening and closing the front cover and over time I would imagine it would cause wear & tear on it.After handling it, i've decided I prefer to have a solid, unbending front cover so i'll have to search for companies that make it that way (if they even do). For those who DO want to use this as a stand/cover combo however, it will suit the purpose just fine and I feel the price is right for this. The tablet fits snug & secure into the case and the power button & charge port are easily accessible. The camera lens also shows through fine in back so you can easily snap pics while the tablet is in the case. I bought it in black and it will suit my tablet just fine until I can find one with an unbending cover. Not a bad deal.***EDIT**** 11/3/14I'm editing my review and raising it to 5 stars: After using the case for a few weeks, I've decided the folding cover really isn't an issue at all and I like it so much that I came back and ordered another one in Navy Blue. It's a great little case and after using it these last 3 weeks, I've really fallen in love with it. I think that's a good testament to the product so if you're thinking of getting this cover, just pick your favorite color and go for it. I think you'll like it as much as I did and probably come back for more colors too. At this great budget price, why not? It's a very good bargain and great quality.)Second Edit 11/5/14The navy blue arrived today so shipping was very fast and impressive at just 3 days from ordering to my door with standard shipping, no Prime. The navy color is very dark and just a shade or two darker from the picture shown.I still like it, but it almost appears black in certain lighting so just passing that impression along. Still an excellent case!Third Edit 5/5/15I thought i'd come back again for a 6 month update. The cover is still going strong and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever with it. After over 6 months use, it still looks and feels brand new and i've traveled with it a few times already by plane, bus, in hotels, in cars (not while driving of course because that's wrong!)I currently have 2 of the colors...the black and the navy (the navy which I use the most) and i'm thinking of switching it up and getting the orange and light blue just for variety sake and i'm sure those will be just as good as the ones I have. Still a 5 star product!!

Good enough
It's a decent case for the price. The Kindle slides in easily and there is a Velcro strip on the left side that folds under the kindle and attaches to the case to hold the kindle in so it doesn't fall out of the case. I found that handy. As for the fit, it is alright. The left side is flushed with the kindle while the right side is a bit lifted and same for the top by the camera. The camera (rear and front) are not centered after movement (see picture). If I center the camera, close the case and carry it spine side down, the camera will not be aligned anymore. It's not that big of a deal for me, I do not use the Kindle for the camera. The stylus loop is handy and the stand is alright. As another user stated, folding the cover to stand the Kindle over and over will cause wear over time. This is with any case, so it's nothing new. I like the auto wake and auto sleep feature. It is probably just the kindle, but the case is compatible with the feature. When the case is open and completely folded back, the case sticks out paste the stylus, which I don't find pleasing. It can be easily "fixed" by leaving the "spine" on the side and folding the cover around the back (see picture).Overall, I just needed a case for my new kindle. This case does the job of protecting the Kindle from scratches and whatnot.Update 12/18/14: Added a star. Snuggly placed the Velcro flap as someone advised. There is only a slight wiggle. The camera is centered and the case fits nice. The right lip is still elevated though.

Look elsewhere
My first thought on putting this on my HD 6 was "dang - this is going to have to go back."The fit was terrible. The case was too tight in several places, so the "leather" bulged up here and there, the misaligned opening for the selfie camera masked part of the image, it was an exercise to get the drop-down notifications and system menu since the case didn't leave enough finger room. And worse, the "smart" wake/sleep magnet often didn't quite align, so the tablet would turn on and off intermittently if it was handled with the case shut - in a jacket pocket for example. But, like a fool, I worked with the case to remove some if its stiffness, so things were a bit better, and got it so it would wake and sleep more or less consistently when it should, and it seemed like something I could live with.As good as Amazon is about returns, it is still I hassle I would prefer to avoid. And I neede a case NOW.So I cut a flared notch from the screen opening to the camera hole, which allowed the bottom of the image to be captured and gave room for your finger to drop down notifications and menu. But now the wake/sleep is as flaky as ever, or more, and I have had to turn the display sleep time-out down much lower than I prefer to keep from running the batter down when I carry it in my pocket. And also keep a rubber band around it.A regrettable purchase. I hope it will loosen up a bit more, and became reliable like it so briefly was, or I will probably end up buying a different design. Two stars, in optimistic hope for improvement as it ages.I recommend looking elsewhere for a good case.

Font size is too small for readability.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HD6 arrived quickly and in new condition. I bought the Fire HD6 on the basis of having read some of the previous reviews. I am having a couple of problems with it: First the touch screen is moderately responsive. I'm having some trouble with it, but this is my first touch screen device, so perhaps it's just me. The second and greater problem is that the text is so small it's unreadable for me. I had my friend change the text size for me, but it doesn't appear to have the modification feature on the home page of any site or document loaded. This is a problem. For that reason alone I'm going to have to return the device. Otherwise, the previous reviews that I read (and I read many) are accurate.
