It's ridiculous that new cars no longer come with these!
My husband wasn't happy to hear that my new car didn't come with a spare tire and only with fix-a-flat. He didn't learn that info until I ran over a nail and he tried to fix it (we weren't married when I bought the car). Needless to say, he immediately had me go online and buy a spare. It's definitely vital to have one in your car, in case you need it!

Like most here I was taken aback to find there ...
Like most here I was taken aback to find there was no spare tire/"donut" included with the Kia Soul ( 2014). This spare/donut set is exactly what you want. It does indeed include the foam tool retainer kit which fits securely over the tire. The lug wrench also serves as part of the handle for the jack. I had a 2002 KIA Rio Cinco which came with the spare and it diifers only in that the lug wrench did not serve as part of the jack handle. The Rio had a separate jack handle. A threaded securing "hold down" mechanism is included to secure every thing to the tire well underneath the rear mat. A word of caution, when I had the KIA Rio, I only had arounf 3 flat tires during the 12 years I owned the car. So at one time, the threaded hold down mechanism sort of coroded itself frozen into the tire well. So when I needed the spare it was a night mare. Unless you're going to maintain and keep that part lubed up or oiled, I would suggest forgoing using that. The spare fits nicely, the foam tool retainer works well and really nothing is loose or rattles around. My set arrived within a few days to the NYC. I tried it out before writing this review. All things considered, it's a bargain and provides the peace of mind that you wouldn't get from that ridiculous inflator kit..

Genuine KIA OEM Spare Tire Kit, Complete and Assembled
This is the genuine article, not a cheap imitation. It came fully assembled, with the tool kit, tow hook, hold-down screw, and even replacement tire-pressure labels for the doorpost showing the spare tire pressure.I highly recommend that you buy this spare tire kit rather than using the compressor and goo that KIA (and most other manufacturers) provide these days to keep the weight down. For one thing, that goo won't seal all punctures. And for another, even if it does, you're going to have a hard time finding a mechanic willing to permanently fix the tire. The goo interferes with the tire balance and the patch or plug adhesion. Finally, the goo will probably mess up your TPMS sensors. So do yourself a favor and buy the spare tire kit instead. This kit is the one designed for 2014 - 2016 KIA Souls with 16" or larger wheels, but it probably will fit many other KIA and Hyundai cars. It fits perfectly in the well provided in the truck, and the foam tool insert prevents rattling or vibration. I'm very satisfied.By the way, make sure you inflate the tire to the required 60 PSI before installing it. As is usually the case with mounted tires, it was shipped under-inflated for safety reasons, but it's not obvious from looking at it or handling it. You need to pump it up to 60 PSI before using it. (This wasn't an omission on the seller's part. It's the way mounted tires are supposed to be shipped.) You use just plain air to inflate it, not the goo.

Had to use it on my daughter's car the day it arrived
Pretty freaky, had been thinking about ordering this spare kit for over a year for my daughter's 2016 Kia Soul. Finally decided to pull the trigger and have peace of mind. The same day it arrive, my daughter called me about the Tire Pressure warning. Pulled the spare out of the box, inflated to 60 PSI (only has 20 PSI) in the box. And we were good to go. Great hard foam tool kit with jack and assy. This is the kit to buy, ready to go out of the box. Other kits made you buy tire to put on rim or the dealership kit is very expensive.

You need this for your Soul!!!
When we bought our 2016 Soul, the salesperson mentioned there was no spare, and told us the price to get one. We took that info, and decided to buy it elsewhere, and just forgot about it. Well, fast forward a couple of years, and there we are sitting on the PA turnpike, at night, with a blowout and no spare. With a car full of boy scouts coming back from a trip. What a nightmare. If you live in this area, you may know that AAA wont come onto the PA or NJ turnpikes, so you have to get towed off the highway, then have AAA come get you from there. And we had a car full, and tow trucks only can carry two passengers. So just imagine the night we had. Just get this! Fit perfectly!

A great deal if you forgot to get this included in your original purchase, or bought used with no spare.
Kia downplays the fact that you don't get a spare tire with your new Soul.I wanted it included in the original purchase, but in between all the haggling, it got lost in the shuffle and I forgot to get it added. My Kia Dealership was over thirty dollars more than here, so this was a no-brainer.Coming from the Kia Parts depot, it has complete instructions, and is original factory stock. It even comes with the sticker for the driver's door that will instruct any owner, (you and any others years down the road), that there is a spare and what poundage to inflate it to.In with the spare and jack, and the little compressor and jug of fix-a-flat out!Mine came inflated to only 40 lbs. It pays to check - the instructions and the tire side clearly say to inflate to 60 PSI, which I did before putting it in the tire well.

Perfect
This is just want I wanted, completely factory, everything was included and as described. Just topped off the spare to 60lbs of air and dropped it into the Kia Soul. Perfect fit, including lock down nut for spare. Jack kit fits right on top, 2 minute job, well worth the added piece of mind having a real spare. I'm glad that Kia at least designed the Soul to accommodate a spare tire and jack kit even if it was somehow not standard equipment. Forget that flat repair kit and compressor, who wants to depend on that in the middle of a raining night on the side of a highway.
