All day recording!
So far, this dummy battery has worked flawlessly for me in my Nikon D5300. It does take a few extra seconds to boot up using this adapter, so don't worry if it doesn't IMMEDIATELY turn on like it does with a normal battery. I've recently started a twitch/youtube channel and I needed my camera to stay on for more than the 30 to 45 minutes at a time that the regular batteries provide. My camera has a normal cutoff time of 30 minutes for recording video, but I've loaded it with a special update that allows me to keep it on for as long as I need. The special software along with this battery allowes me to keep it running as long as I want without my camera ever shutting off or me needing to swap batteries. You can use it with any usb wall plug or you can run it on a good power bank like I have been doing. Cheaper/smaller power banks may not work properly. This kit also comes with a usb-c male to usb-a female adapter witch comes in handy for a multitude of powering options. My camera does get ever so slightly warm to the touch after hours of recording, but definitely not hot/warm enough to be worrying about overheating or anything. I can't speak for other Nikon models, but I would highly recommend if you're looking for a way to power your Nikon D5300 continuously.

Works great
Keep in mind that you cannot hot swap this… if you unplug the USB your camera turns off… I used this for taking Astro photos all night

Works perfect with multiple power banks!
The media could not be loaded. Perfect fit, going to be great for time lapse photography, extended shoots and long exposure shots now that I can use my power banks! Works plugged in to the wall as well. Does NOT work on a couple of my freebie pb’s. But DOES WORK with my 10,000 mah 5v Anker, a 26,800mah 3.5v Charmast & a 5,000 mah 5v type-c Ravpower all from Amazon >$30 and all work great with my Nikon D3200.

Unreliable
I was not able to use the one I received with the camera displaying an error message "This battery cannot be used. Choose battery designated for use in this camera". I ordered a replacement, which was not working either. I decided to check the voltages of the different pins and they were correct. I tried again to use it to power my camera and it worked. Then I unplugged the USB connector from the power source. Plugged it again and it did not work again. I have the impression that if I pushed the dummy battery really hard into the camera it tends to work but it is not reliable. My impression is that the design of the dummy battery is marginally compatible with the battery receptacle. I will try to use it overnight for astrophotography before deciding if I ask for a refund for this item.

Warning - Nikon does not accept 3rd Party Batteries
This is listed as working with a D5100, but it does not work unless you hack your firmware. Hacking your firmware voids your warranty. They do not disclose this. It probably works if you are willing to void your warranty. That said, it also doesn't support bulb mode correctly and I need to continue using real batteries for that..which was the only reason I bought this.

worth every cent !!
What an excellent product, You can use both the power adapter with the cable to power up your Nikon D5600 and functions as normal. If you connect QC3 or QC4 power bank that can give 5V @ 3 Amps then it's happy days.if you do try to run with a QC2 power bank that can only give 5V @ 2 Amps it will not work as noted in the instructions.Well worth it !!!
