Berkley AmpTM Ice Spinning Rod Spinning Rods

I have several 7’ spinning and casting rods I use on my kayak and in a boat but sometimes it’s nice to have a short rod to pitch into cover or under limbs while your in a kayak since your range of motion can be restricted. I’ve used other dock style rods and while they work there is too much play in the action so setting the hook can be difficult. This berkley rod is perfect for me because of it’s stiffness and length. I put a shimano fx1000 on it which makes it a great low budget combo. I’ve bought two more of these for my kids to use.

I know this is for ice fishing but it’s the perfect size for a small rod to use out of a kayak. Caught my first golden trout with this rod.

Looks like a beautiful rod but the tip was broken off right out of the box.

Great rod; great quality; Unfortunately, my tip broke on the first day because of a wind storm in the ice.

Product was damaged when received. Two were ordered. One was perfectly fine. The other had the rod tip missing.

Ordered 2, 1 arrived broken. Amazon assistance helped promptly and had another one sent out immediately.Great feel, great look and handles any size fish up to at least 10lbs with no problem. Hit Simcoe and landed plenty if Jumbos, a Ling and a few Walleye. I would recommend fully.
