“New” Book had used bookmark in the middle
Book is in excellent condition and exactly what I needed. Appears new. However, middle of the book had a clearly used bookmark at section 4.5. I think it’s pretty obvious this is a used book that was sold as new due to the condition. Slightly dishonest but I don’t fight for the extra few dollars.

So stilted it’s hard to follow
The author of this book must have edited by using the thesaurus on every other word. It’s unnecessarily obtuse and over-worded.“The primary value of managing an initiative as a program is based on the acknowledgement of the program manager’s readiness to adapt strategies to optimize the delivery of benefits to an organization.” Um, what? The point is a good one, but it’s written in the most convoluted and passive way possible. If this were a college paper, it might get a D grade, and that only because the professor would fall asleep before finishing the paper.

Expensive! Not enough bang for the buck.
This book only has 155 pages of material. It is written like an outline with lots of headlines, bullet points, and white space. Most pages are only 3/4 to 4/5 full, with lots of white space at the bottom of the pages. All for nearly $50!. The PMBOK has over 700 pages of material for just over $50. This book is easy to read, but I didn't realize it was such a thin textbook when I bought it. I'm keeping it because I am starting my first position in PM and need the industry standard. For the price, I would NOT recommended buying new if you already have some PM experience. $20-$25 is a better price point.
