I started doing daily bed yoga 6ish months ago after being sick/bed ridden. With my health improving, I got back on the floor with my old yoga mat (light blue). Was painful! Added my "guest" mat (dark blue) for thicken it and protect the knees - barely helpful. Researched thick yoga mats and most are over 30-40$ for 4-6mm. When I saw this one, I was doubtful (too good to be true, right?) but gave it a try. Well, it is working for me (and for my yoga partner, Mocha Cino). Perfectly thick, good material and... cheap! Thinking to get another one just for our camping trip/keep in the car later. Or as gift for Xmas maybe; gift for less than 20$? That can be it! :D

I bought this so I wouldn't have to put my face in the carpet of my rental apartment. What I didn't expect was how much more secure I would feel doing my exercises and how it would stop my feet from sliding. I also bought two knee pads which didn't help at all but doubling up the mat under my knees totally prevented knee pain. Experiment with knee placement as I have found it more effective to place the ball of my knee on the other side of the doubled part . It is totally silent and doesn't move when used on top of carpet. This is a soft, secure, affordable mat.Addendum: I've used my mat daily for two months with one durability issue. A thread has come loose and will require hand stitching to repair.4 Month Addendum: No holes or slickness issues as reported by some other reviewers. I am normal weight and use my pad for yoga so I suspect that some of the mat degradation others report is a function of heavier use.

This mat has a nauseating rubber/chemical smell. I have been airing it out for over two weeks and the smell has not diminished at all. I do not recommend buying this mat.

I started yoga again after a long pause. I went to pick up my old mat and realized it was this think piece of rubber with wear spots where my toes would hit. So I decided to look on Amazon and came across the BalanceFrom GoFit after looking at all of the other mats on Amazon. This mat was listed as the thickest, was bound on the edges and had a carrying strap (I don't like the mats with an extra carry bag...too much work to put away after class). And it was really well-priced.When it arrived I was blown away. It is soft and springy, has ridges for good grip and stuck to the floor without sliding. I used it the first time on Monday morning on a hardwood floor during class and it didn't budge. I used it on carpeting at home this morning and again, on a berber carpet it didn't slip or move.I'm thinking of buying a second mat to leave in my car for class. Great product at a terrific price.

Selected this because of the thickness of the mat. Price seemed good compared to others that I have purchased in the past. Unfortunately, the mat off-gassed for the first several uses and after about 10 uses started to wear at the seam. It also slides if it is placed on a smooth service, like a wood yoga studio floor. Pros are that the mat is lightweight, color is great and the padding is super. Maybe not the best mat for hardcore yogis.

The stitching around the mat came out after 10 minutes. Going back for sure!The mat is nice and thick to give a lot of padding, but the material is pretty slippery.

I love that this mat already comes with a shoulder strap! It is a great all around mat to use for Yoga and Tai-Chi. I have also tried it with Pilates during a 30 minute workout. It is easy to wipe down and clean with water and soap. (I used Dawn) If you have cats, you can always get a hook for the back of your door and hang it by the shoulder strap. This mat is exactly what it says, durable, comfortable and easy to carry. I would highly recommend it.

Encontrarán muchos tapetes para yoga pero creo que este de aquí es una gran opción. Esto lo comento por que su calidad es excelente.Para empezar, tiene una excelente longitud, apto para personas altas. El grosor es lo que mas me gusta, por que tiene suficiente acolchonamiento para poder hacer tus ejercicio cómodamente.Debo mencionar sin embargo que la parte de abajo no genera suficiente fricción con el piso. Eso va ocasionando que se vaya moviendo poco a poquito. También, despues de utilizarlo unas cuantas veces, se empieza a arrugar, mas no a romperse.Por último, tiene un olor de plastico al inicio, pero esto tampoco fue un problema para mi por que no es tan fuerte, y también por que se va quitando entre mas se deje afuera. Este tapete es cómodo, ligero y suave ya que su 1 cm de espesor te mantiene bien aislada de la superficie final lo que es muy bueno cuando el piso es frío. Sus materiales de fabricación son de buena calidad y si no hay movimientos bruscos el tapete se mantiene fijo al piso aunque para mayor seguridad puedes pasar un trapito mojado debajo del tapete para mantenerlo firme en su posición que te será de gran ayuda. Este tapete recuerda un poquito a las colchonetas que usan las gimnastas pero muy en flaquito y con un material tipo goma para mejor adherencia al piso.

Buscaba un tapete que me cubriera completamente, y éste es incluso más largo que yo.La densidad y firmeza de la espuma es excelente, no sientes lo duro del suelo. Lo uso para practicar Yoga, y realmente es muy cómodo.Su material anti derrapante ayuda mucho también. Claro no es algo que se "pegue" al suelo, pero sí se queda inmóvil si no se hacen movimientos muy bruscos. Ah! Y además es de fácil guardado y transporte, gracias a la correa que tiene.En gral., estoy contento con la compra. Lo recomiendo mucho.

Originalmente la compre para ejercitar pero mi perro se adueño del tapete y ahora duerme muy cómodo y sin calor sobre el.

I was looking for a mat that I could use for both my foam roller (so it does slip on the laminate), and to do some floor stretches. This is very comfortable. I like the Velcro strap thing that it comes with. I’ve only had it for a few days but it’s been really good. I’ve owned a yoga mat previously which just didn’t have the little bit extra cushioning I wanted to be able to lie on the floor and not hurt my tailbone when sitting on the floor.I would definitely recommend it.

This mat is exactly what I was looking for. I need a mat that is thicker as the thinner mats do not give me enough cushion on hardwood flooring. My elbows, knees and tailbone suffered during my yoga workouts. But, not with this mat. I am able to complete every pose without having to readjust or stop halfway through. The mat is a little bit narrower than my previous yoga mat, but I don't mind. I don't need a lot of space to do yoga and I am a smaller person anyway, so again the thinner mat is not an issue. The quality of the mat is extremely good. It was in excellent condition when I received it and it was true to it's product picture. Exactly as described. Very, VERY happy with this mat and I would definitely recommend this product!

Padrísimo, pensé que era más pequeño y vaya sorpresa, está enorme, el problema es que es tan cómodo que cuando empiezo a hacer ejercicio me da sueño jajaja, punto a favor tmbn es que llegó muuuuuy rápido.

I bought this product under the assumption that it is not slippery as that's what it claims to be. After 5 minutes of doing Yoga on it it becomes so slippery that you can't hold downward dog position for more than 2 seconds. I'm very unhappy with this product and its pure false advertising. I'm also losing faith in Amazon's vetting process and monitoring false advertising. You're bound to have an accident by slipping on this mat.

Hasta el momento he disfrutado mucho el producto, en mi clase de yoga llama mucho la atención por lo esponjado del material. En la opinión de alguien que suda mucho el material se ha comportado excelente, más en la parte del antiderrapante. Mi única queja y eso sólo por buscar la continua mejora, sería que rechina mucho en cada movimiento que uno hace, lo preferiría un poco menos chillón más cuando estamos en la parte de meditación.

Me encanta el grosor, es genial si pasas de un tapete tradicional que encuentras en un autoservicio a este, es saltar a lo premium. Al principio huele mucho el material del que esta hecho pero con el tiempo va desvaneciendo. Muy recomendable

I am not a yoga person, but I needed a mat for doing bodyweight exercises as well as stretching before running. So I went ahead and got this one. The delivery was fairly quick and it came with the strap as mentioned. I've got to say I've been pretty impressed the few times I've used it so far. It is very cushiony and I find that very helpful while doing core exercises. Also, it fits my height perfectly (6 feet). Definitely a great mat!!

Basically a rectangle of cheap foam with stitching around the edges. Feels like it will disintegrate after a few uses. Nice thickness, good padding but looks and feels shabby.

I love this mat it's great on my back,knees everything getting this one was the best choice in my mind. And there's no oder.

This is a very good mat for the price. It is nice and thick and feels very durable. It’s hard to say how it will hold up, so I will come back and update my review after it has been used for awhile.

Love the squishiness of this yoga mat. Great for my knees dine it provides extra thickness.
