Is the case suppose to close all the way?

How is the iPad kept protected from scratches from the case itself? Does it have padding or a gasket?

Hi! There are two rubber paddings on the case, it will protect ipad from scratching.

Does it type symbols and characters correctly? I had to return one from Hotlife brand because of these problem
